Two of the applications were considered too general to meet our objectives. Hope UK applied for a grant towards "the support of our drug education workshops in England and Wales. We are seeking a grant for delivering drug education workshops in schools. Youth groups and community organisations.. The Trustees considered this application for the public benefit and met our objectives so a grant of £1,000 was made. Hope UK confirmed that the grant would be made for alcohol and other drugs workshop sessions. Financial Review Review of the charity's financial position at the end of the period The charities accounts are income and expenditure. The income for the year was £26,566.83 made up of interest and dividends. Expenditure was total of £1246.78 including a grant of £1,000. Annual income was over £25,000 as Epworth bond changed and money was re-invested. The charities investment funds are in CCLA and COIF.
