2024 was our Centenary Yèar, and we improved our offering accordingly Other Achievements and Performance SORP rèforenco In 2024 we ran a successful event. Several hundred children look part in qualifier tournaments, and those that qualified attended the LJCC Finals, at University of Westminster Marylebone Campus and Univer51ty of Westminster Harrow Campus. Our events were well organis8d and chess was played to a high standard. W8 included some Grand Master teaching sessions in our pre-christmas event, and we made a short film ￿lebrating the Centenary. Financial Review Review of the charity's financial position at the 8nd of the period Para 1.21 Total cash funds.. £25,414. Slighlly down on last year because we bought extra equipment. Funds are held in the charity's Co-op bank account and are available for immediate use. The charity has no other monetary assets. The charity has no inveslrnenl assets. The Charity has physical assets retained for the Gharity's own use. Including- Boards, sets, clocks, stationery, signage, lap top, printer. The charilv has no liabilities. 21 Brand erosion. The charity r8quires the finals to be run smoothly so that competitors and parentslguardians enjoy them. This includes the management of complaints and having clear procedures and policies for this. There is also a risk asso¢iat8d with the qualifier evenls which we as a charity do not manage directly but they aro associated with the brand and so we must endeavour to ensure that qualifier organisers receive suitsble support where necessary so that children and their parentslguardians are satisfied with these events also. 3) Safeguarding. The finals host around 400-450 children and théir parenlslguardians at each of the pre- and post-christmas events and it is vitsl thal we hav8 adequate safeguarding procedures in pla￿.
