LETTER FROM OUR CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

It feels like BIGKID really came of age this year with us finally acquiring our own building. It has been such an honour to revive the formerly disused Dexters Adventure Playground and open it up to the community again. Despite every setback, in 12 months we have achieved more than we anticipated. From weekly food deliveries just days after being handed the keys, to our Youth Club that opened in March, to repairing the adventure playground in time for a May opening, to hosting community days, a café, mental health events, podcasts, parties and so much more. Dexters is very much OPEN again. We are grateful for the warm welcome we have received from the Railton Road community and look forward to doing more in 2022.

Moreover, our wider programme of delivery did not suffer from this new responsibility, indeed we went from delivering 4 BIGKID sessions across 2 boroughs to 14 BIGKID sessions across 6 boroughs! Our Breaking Barriers leadership programme is now in 9 London schools, our American Flag Football Programme is running in 9 locations and we are well on our way to creating multiple BIGKID Hubs across London.

I am forever indebted to our incredible staff team, our energetic board of trustees, our dynamic volunteers, enthusiastic ambassadors and learned Patron, not to mention our fabulously generous and supportive funders and donors who together form a vital lifeline to over a thousand young people in London. You are a crucial and valued part of the BIGKID Family, thank you.

It gives me great pleasure to support the excellent work that BIGKID is doing. One can see the great impact their presence is having not only on the young people that are part of the BIGKID family but also on their wider community. The Breaking Barriers Leadership Programme is truly transformational and is making a tremendous contribution to reducing the numbers of young people facing exclusion from school. The BIGKID sports sessions and youth hubs give young people a positive sense of self-worth and belonging which contributes to reducing youth violence in our communities. It is wonderful to see that BIGKID is expanding beyond Lambeth to embrace young people across London. The effects of the Covid pandemic means that BIGKID is needed more now than ever before. Recruitment and Appointment of Trustees

Trustee directors are appointed in accordance with the provisions of the charity’s memorandum and articles of association. The articles of association require one-third of trustee directors to retire at each AGM, but they may propose themselves for re-election.

Trustee Induction and Training

The induction process for any newly-appointed trustee comprises an initial meeting with the existing trustees. The induction process covers the powers and responsibilities of the trustee board, copy board minutes, a copy of the last three years’ annual reports and accounts, a copy of the governing documents and a copy of the Charity Commission’s guidance ‘The Essential Trustee: What You Need to Know’.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE

Case Study - Collins

Collins grew up on Patmore Estate in Battersea and still lives there with his mum and brother. He always enjoyed sports through school and also attended Carney's Community programme, where he tried boxing and weightlifting. He did okay at school, but did find himself excluded for fighting. After a managed move, he did enough to complete his exams.

It was around this time, when in year 11, that Collins first met BIGKID. During the summer of 2020, after the first COVID lockdown, he joined in American Flag Football and outdoor youth club at Larkhall Park. Keeping in touch with BIGKID, he joined in our summer programme at Dexters during the summer of 2021. Thanks to ongoing mentoring from coach Jonathan throughout 2020 and 2021, Collins by this time, was focused on an ambition to attend the NFL Academy in Tottenham. Collins was successful in gaining a place. He was fully committed to attending our weights and fitness sessions during summer 2021, so was in peak form by the time the academic year started.

With our youth club running directly after the weights and fitness sessions, Collins would often stay on and benefit from a hot meal. It was also a chance to relax and socialise with other BIGKID beneficiaries and staff. Collins built a strong connection with Coach Jonathan, regularly catching up with him about his thoughts and plans for the future, including potential pathways into colleges in the US and playing NFL professionally. In talking to Jonathan, he found out about our volunteer coaching programme, and decided it was something he'd like to do.

Collins started volunteering as a coach with BIGKID in October 2021, supporting delivery of Flag sessions in schools. He even had the chance to represent BIGKID at the launch of the NFL Foundation, helping run activities for local primary school children, meeting the NFL Commissioner and Mayor of London.

Collins has come a long way since starting with BIGKID. In his own words:"{When I first came to BIGKID} I was a bit shy, I wasn't talking a lot. I tried to get involved and talk to others, but I wasn't very talkative compared to others. {As time's gone on} I've got more involved in everything, in the events with BIGKID. It's really built my confidence. Outside of physical skills, I've also developed communication skills, interpersonal skills, time

management. I've got better team bonding skills and cooperate more with others." "I used to find it challenging to make friends when I was younger. I was really quiet. But I've started talking a lot more. I've stopped being nervous. I've made a lot of new friends since joining BIGKID."

Collins found BIGKID during the COVID pandemic, at a time when he was finding things difficult. Two years later, he's an integral part of what we do and is feeling more optimistic about his future: "COVID really messed up my mentality for playing sport. At the time I found BIGKID, I wasn't interested in NFL any more. If it wasn't for BIGKID, I probably wouldn't be playing American Football, probably wouldn't have gone to NFL Academy. Now I'm really focused on my future. I want to inspire others and try to build up my community, maybe become a youth worker myself and inspire other youth."

Lockdown 3.0

With the announcement of lockdown 3.0, 2021 got off to a difficult start, particularly with schools closed for most of our young people. Combined with poor weather and less daylight, impacts on mental health and well-being were felt much more acutely. At BIGKID it meant the return of our Virtual Youth Club. During January - March: " 11 of our young people recorded 20 podcasts which received over 2,200 online engagements. " 154 virtual group sessions attended by over 200 young people

Dexters, we got the keys / revamp

After a prolonged wait we finally got the keys to Dexters! It was in disrepair with a leaky roof, mould and lots of rubbish everywhere. We got straight to work on the site, clearing all the rubbish, replacing the roof and back wall, adding a new washing machine, getting the adventure playground inspected for play, starting a community garden, painting the whole site, revamping the fence, laying a new basketball court and a whole host of other things.

Food deliveries, Adventure Play, Cafe and "I'm In" Event

Food Deliveries - This year, thanks to support from Burberry and London Youth, we teamed up with Brixton Community Hub to provide young people with weekly food deliveries. We also began cooking hot meals for youth club.

Adventure Play - Since opening the adventure playground in early summer 2021, 136 children have enjoyed playing on the structure.

Café - We opened Dexters Café! Selling delicious home baked goods, tea and coffee along with other snacks.

'I'm IN' Event - 'I'm IN' was our first ever event that we hosted at Dexters. It was a great success with 74 children in attendance throughout the day. The event was created by local resident Vanessa Ayiku, who had the great idea of providing primary school age children with activities on a day when many local schools had been turned into polling stations. Children got involved with a huge range of activities including learning how to DJ, African drums, kickboxing and designing videogame characters.

Over the course of 2021 we repainted Dexters' iconic multi-coloured fence. It then formed the basis of our Play Futures project, which was delivered in collaboration with the Brixton Project and 81 Acts of Exuberant Defiance. Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, our installation is one of '81 Acts' taking place over 12 months to mark the 40th anniversary of the 1981 Brixton Uprisings. Through workshops facilitated by local artist and architect, Krish Nathaniel, the design was developed by our young people alongside community members with lived experience of the riots and is comprised of a series of panels fixed to the fence, reflecting on historic events, alongside images and inspiration for the future.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who took part in this project, especially Krish Nathaniel, Engie, Good Gym and all members of the Brixton community who helped with painting.

"I love the fence panels; they are such a great addition to the road. I like the reflection on heritage of the area, alongside positive images and thinking to the future. It's so wonderful to have BIGKID in our area."

Youth club

2021 was an exciting year for youth club. With most of 2020 spent in lockdown and 2021 starting the same way, we were eager to get back to face-to-face sessions. Safe to say, our young people felt the same way. We returned with three youth club sessions a week, providing young people with meals after school, games and team-building activities. Our focus this year was to upskill our young people. As part of a programme supported by Burberry and London Youth, alongside other corporate partners including PwC, Jo Malone and the Van Gogh Café, we held a number of workshops with the aim of inspiring our young people, equipping them with key employability and life skills.

The Jo Malone event was a particular highlight, with employees from a range of departments, including branding, marketing and media, coming in to share their experiences and pathways into their current roles, demonstrating to our young people that there isn't only one route to success. PwC led our young people through four-weeks of career-focused workshops, covering important aspects of working life, including mental health in the workplace, online personal branding, writing a CV and interview techniques.

Gardening

Our new home at Dexters has a huge outdoor space, including a number of areas suitable for gardening. A new activity for us, but with some support from Unique Roots and volunteer Debbie Wall, we have embraced the idea of creating a community garden! This year we tackled various jobs including weeding, cutting the grass, trimming thorn bushes, spreading woodchip.... the list goes on. The BIGKID team spurred on by fabulous volunteers are becoming truly green fingered! We aim to collaboratively develop the space further in 2022.

Orchard Hill

This year we partnered with Orchard Hill, a SEND college in Camberwell. The students have been visiting the site weekly, helping with general gardening maintenance along with planting vegetables and flowers. They have also done a brilliant job of painting some of our fence. We had a great harvest filled with courgettes, chard, potatoes, tomatoes and runner beans. We also grew some beautiful wild flowers.

Reach event

On 27th October BIGKID Foundation had the honour of hosting REACH's first ever Festival for Young People! This was a day full of workshops, performances, live podcasting and so much more. The day focused on young people's mental health and what impact Covid-19 has had. On the day there were a wide range of charities on site from Kooth to Black Thrive, who were able to talk directly to attendees and give an insight into how they can help, as well as the programmes they run. Tasty Caribbean food was served, whilst a live band played a multitude of songs which serenaded the crowd. Overall, it was a great day which left those who attended more knowledgeable on where they can find support. Most importantly it enabled young people to be open about their mental health and learn valuable skills to help them in the future.

Summer programme

The 2021 summer programme was completely different from any previous programmes. Thanks to our new home at Dexters we were able to engage over 100 young people with a huge range of activities. For four weeks, the day would kick off at 10am with adventure play sessions for under 11s, then afternoon activities including football, basketball, American flag football, boxing, anime club, strength and conditioning, and workshops on coding, focused for ages 11-19, going right through to 7pm. On top of this, trips and excursions included paddleboarding, white water rafting and adventure golf. Everyone who attended could access a free nutritious, hot meal every day. With special thanks to Steve from the South London Renegades, Lambeth's Summer Violence Prevention Fund and Holiday Activities and Food programme, Carneys Community and the Back Home Project for supporting our programmes.

Donor reception

July 2021 saw us hold our first public event at Dexters - our summer reception! A chance to invite our partners, supporters and friends to see the site and hear more about what's been happening at BIGKID. Following an intro from Unika, our Community Development Officer and Jack Petchey intern, they heard directly from one of our young people, Alvaro, who bravely commanded the crowd with his speech telling us all about his BIGKID journey. We were honoured to have the presence of our Patron, Sir Kenneth Olisa OBE, Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London, who spoke about the challenges we've all faced over the last 18 months, and celebrated the commitment of the BIGKID team. It was a great occasion, with our young people and staff alike, having the opportunity to speak with local councillors, trustees, mentors, partners, funders, supporters and our local MP, Helen Hayes.

The expansion

We are delighted to report that over the months since the pandemic hit, despite restrictions, lockdowns, pivots and panic, BIGKID has expanded! Pre-COVID we were operating in 4 locations across 2 boroughs and now we are in 14 locations across 6 boroughs with our Breaking Barriers Leadership programme in schools, American Flag Football programme, Football programme and Youth Club. With the additional responsibility of managing our first community site, Dexters Adventure Playground, we have created the first BIGKID hub - a safe space where young people who engage with our programmes in their schools and local community can come and access more services such as counselling and gardening. We are now able to reach more young people than ever before and this year we aim to build on this recent growth, cementing these new relationships and responding to the needs of the new young people we are engaging with.

Over the next 5 years our ambition is to create a further two hubs and engage with 10,000 young people. This is thanks to our amazing funders, included in which is a significant grant from the Mayor of London's Impact Partnerships Fund. We are hugely grateful for the support of all our donors and supporters.

Breaking Barriers

As soon as schools re-opened in late March, we were ready to start delivering our Breaking Barriers with American Flag Football programme (funded by the Mayor of London's Impact Partnerships fund) in four schools across South London (Lewisham and Wandsworth) Expanding our reach to Hounslow and an additional school in Lewisham in the Autumn term, a total of 114 young people aged 12-14, who were identified as at risk of exclusion or otherwise vulnerable (due to concerns around mental health, home life, lack of confidence), successfully completed our 12-week Breaking Barriers leadership programme. In addition, 224 attended American Flag football afterschool sessions. We are hugely proud of our Breaking Barriers graduates, with many showing significant improvements in outcomes, behaviour and attitudes to learning:

70% improved openness and participation in discussions

65% improved attitude to learning

70% improved behaviour in school

Flag (girls and boys)

Over 350 young people attended American Flag football sessions whether at school or in the community during 2021. With a particular focus on engaging girls, we started running a number of girls only sessions, which proved very popular, even more young women feeling welcomed and inspired to try the sport, with some even coming to challenge (and beat!) the boys. Flag has taken off more than we could have expected and is a huge part of our

expansion across London. From recent surveys, young people have said that attending flag has helped them:

Sailing

After missing out on last year's sailing residential due to COVID, we had to make sure as many of us as possible could make the venture this year. Not only did we go sailing but we took the biggest group we have ever taken! Starting from never having set foot in a boat, a number with a genuine fear of water and some not even knowing how to swim, by the end of the week all had learnt how to sail and gained their level 1 RYA certificates. An incredible achievement! All thanks to the help of their friends, instructors and the incredible team of volunteers. We held an awards ceremony on the last day to come together and celebrate each young person's amazing achievements. All of them massively grew in confidence over the week, made new friendships and memories that will last long after returning to London. A huge thank you to everyone involved for their incredible hospitality and ongoing support for this project, we can't wait to return in 2022!

Fundraising, Make some noise

We were thrilled to welcome back some of our fabulous fundraising events that have been missed and now even a few more have been added.

London Marathon:

A huge thank you to our incredible runners who pounded the streets of London for 26.2 miles and collectively raised £4,533. Iain Armstrong and Fran Ryan took part in the live event on 3rd October 2021. They were accompanied by three other BIGKID runners, Nick Carter, Jon McIldowie and Bryan Lloyd, who ran their own route in the virtual event. We're so proud and impressed by their incredible achievement!

Quiz 2021:

On 16th November 2021, the Annual BIGKID Quiz Night was held at the Phoenix, Cavendish Square. This year we aimed to raise £14,000 for the girls' football programme. Our guests raised a whopping £7,450! Some unbelievable raffle prizes were on offer, including an exclusive behind the scenes experience at La Gavroche, which were kindly donated by Jo Malone, NBA, NFL, Livelyhood, Michel Roux Jr and many more.

Aldeburgh Yacht Club Dinner:

Held on a glorious summer evening in July, this year's Aldeburgh Yacht Club dinner was an incredibly enjoyable and memorable evening. Everyone appreciated the chance to get together and raised over £13,000 - more than ever before. Later in the year, the club raised a further £1,000 for us from their inaugural Christmas Market. Thank you!

Global's Make Some Noise:

We're so excited that we have been chosen as one of the Global's Make Some Noise charities this year.

Christ Church London:

Christ Church London kindly nominated us as one of their charities for their Christmas donation and raised and incredible generous total of £2,500, thank you!

Burberry

Throughout 2021, funding from luxury retailer Burberry, through our partnership with London Youth, has supported a huge range of initiatives including weekly food deliveries during the pandemic, workshops on mental health, 1:1 mentoring and employment-focused inspiration events, which engaged over 300 young people. We're so grateful for the support!

PwC

As one of PwC's ColourBrave charities we received grant funding of £5,000 alongside business mentoring and access to innovative workshops and events throughout the year. The highlight being a rare in-person leadership event held at PwC's impressive Embankment offices. So inspiring to meet the other charities and social enterprises within the ColourBrave network. We're thrilled that our partnership will continue in 2022!

New team members (Unika, Paris, Lizzie)

This year we welcomed three new members to our team!

Paris - our very first apprentice - started early in the year and has been a great asset to the team, with her exceptional baking and athletic skills. Paris started as a BIGKID participant when she was 11 years old. "I'm looking forward to continuing my BIGKID journey, applying my skills and giving back to help others on their way."

Unika is our Jack Petchey-funded intern, working as our Community Development Officer at Dexters, helping to establish BIGKID's presence in Brixton. "I have a long history with Dexters Adventure Playground as I grew up playing there as a child. I am excited about working ensuring young people in the community get the best out of the site."

Lizzie is our new in-house counsellor. She has been working with our young people and offering one-to-one support. "I love supporting young people to become resilient, self-aware, reflective and kind to themselves and one another. To let them know it is okay not to be okay and that me and BIGKID are there to support them through their journey."

Snow camp

During the summer, connecting with the brilliant Snow Camp, we had the chance to send a group of young people to try skiing and snowboarding over two days at an artificial ski slope in Hemel Hempstead. They had such an amazing time. From that group, seven were selected for the next stage, a graduate programme delivered over 6 weekends, where their skills and passion for the sport grew. It hasn't stopped there - our very own Paris earned her way on to the final Excel stage, 2022 which will see her qualify as an instructor and spend a week in the Austrian alps!

Bafa & Phoebe camp

2021 was our second year going into the BAFA Flag league with a South London Renegades/BIGKID collaboration. The biggest change this year, was the number of young women in the squad, many more than any other teams that we played. They were unstoppable, coming out undefeated in half the tournaments we went to. Our squad went all the way to the finals, coming 4th in the country and 1st among the London teams. Such a brilliant achievement! After the season had finished our ambassador, Pheobe Schecter, held a U19 girls' American football event in Nottingham, to scout possible GB players. 13 of our girls braved the snowy conditions to join in and show what they were about. They all impressed on the day with a number having conversations with the GB coaches about coming back when they turn 18.

Prince Charles’ Visit

It's not every day you get royalty grace the streets of South London! November 2021 saw Prince Charles visit Brixton. Multitudes gathered to greet him. Our young people were fortunate enough to meet privately with him and talk to him about what it is like living in the area and how important the work of youth charities such as BIGKID is. Nicole, one of our young leaders who had the chance to speak with Prince Charles, said: "I didn't expect to speak to him for that long, but it was exciting getting the opportunity to speak to him about what it's like living in Brixton'.

GB team

In October, three of our young people travelled to attend the GB Lions American Football trials. Omari Hunte and Lucas Clerge Boa went as Running Backs in the U19 & U17 squad respectively, and Jonathan Mbanefo as a Tight End/Wide Receiver for the U19 squad. A few weeks later they received an email saying that of the nearly 300 participants on the day they were one of the few that had been chosen to represent the country. We are beyond proud of these young men and their hard efforts, and what is the most amazing thing about all this, is that this is their first ever year playing contact. Well done boys!

Nicole - volunteering, letter writing, Canon Young Photographer, Youth club

I have been volunteering with BIGKID for just over 2 years and throughout this time, I have been exposed to new opportunities and a really cool environment to be around. Running youth clubs has been an interesting experience to work around young people with different age gaps - young kids aged 10 and young adults around 17. It is refreshing to be able to

interact with both age groups in a setting like a youth club where we can just come together and have fun. On top of this, I have gotten the chance to take part in different courses such as a stone carving course. This course lasted 5 days where I learnt how to properly draw letters and actually carve them into stone. It was a really cool course that gave me a new skill and I hope I can do something along those lines again. Another opportunity I was given through BIGKID was winning Canon Young Photographer of the Year. As part of this I was actually asked to accompany Canon to a workshop as their photographer. That was such an unexpected chance given to me. I was able to work alongside professional photographers and artists as their colleague and learn a lot from them. BIGKID has given me so many opportunities to grow and I'm very grateful for it. With special thanks to the Lettering Arts Trust for sponsoring Nicole.

Trips and excursions

Music and podcasts - mental health, football, American football, real talk

With the announcement of lockdown 3.0, 2021 got off to a difficult start, particularly with schools closed for most of our young people. Combined with poor weather and less daylight, impacts on mental health and well-being were felt much more acutely. At BIGKID it meant the return of our Virtual Youth Club. Alongside virtual group sessions, we developed a series of podcasts on topics including 'Let's Talk' (mental health); 'Real Talk' (topical social issues); 'What's the Sweep' (American football); 'Money Matters' (money management advice); 'On that Note' (music) and 'BKB' (football). Over the three months of lockdown, 11 of our young people recorded 20 podcasts which received well over 2,200 online engagements. These podcasts proved really important as a creative and mental outlet, allowing our young people to speak freely and openly about issues that were important to them.

Kiana case study

K (14) first met BIGKID at her school. When the coaches mentioned our youth club, K thought she'd give it a try: "When I got there, I was so anxious. I had zero self-esteem, I was such an introvert." But K immediately felt at ease:

"I felt no sense of toxicity. In my house I feel it. At school, there's always some tension. Every time I come to BIGKID I feel no pressure, I don't have to stay out of anyone's way. I just feel a sense of peace." K has taken part in as much she can, trying different sports, joining virtual sessions, podcasts and our music programme, writing songs and recording. "BIGKID has really helped my self-esteem. I don't feel sad anymore. If there's anything, I take it out in music, football, NFL. When I think friends, I think BIGKID. I feel comfortable. I feel like I can talk, I can breathe."

Christmas 2021 (Christmas party and awards)

With the year we had, we made sure to end it with a bang! We were grateful to have our annual Christmas party, hosted by our friends at Livelyhood Pubs, who offered up their amazing space and food. We used the night to acknowledge the achievements of our amazing young leaders. These were young people that we felt grew significantly over the year playing an active part in participating actively in school and community programmes. Awards included our Phoenix Award which recognises the young person who has risen above obstacles and shown great determination.

We're thrilled that BIGKID has received a lot of exposure this year through a number of podcasts and publications, here's a little round up: Our Founders Helen and Shaninga Marasha were interviewed by Jill Martin Wrenn for her Podcast Series, 'How to Build a Village', on what inspired them to start BIGKID and what keeps them going. Our Development Director, Helen Marasha, along with young person, Kiana Panah were interviewed by Nick Ferrari on LBC as well as on Capital FM talking about how mental health is affecting young people.

BIGKID met the NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, and the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan at the launch of the NFL Foundation in Tottenham. We were quoted in an article about youth crime figures in the SW Londoner.

Dexters was featured in a Michael Jordan Flight of Defiance short film that you can find on YouTube.

Dexters and the fence project with 81 Acts was featured in local news outlets including Love Lambeth, Brixton Blog and Brixton Buzz.

FINANCIAL REVIEW

Income for the year was £403,599 (2020: £342,986). Expenditure was £423,739 (2020: £338,738), resulting in a deficit for the year of £20,140 (2020: £4,248 surplus). At 31st December 2021 net assets were £111,456, of which £3,591 are restricted for the specific purposes identified in note 20 and £107,865 are available for general purposes.

We delivered all our activities on a budget of approximately £430,000. Next year we need your help to raise £1m to consolidate our amazing expansion!

Reserves

The Trustees consider that the level of unrestricted reserves should be approximately equivalent to the charity’s operational expenditure for at least three months. At 31st December 2021, unrestricted reserves represented 3.1 months (2020: 4.2 months) of expenditure.

The trustees (who are also directors of BIGKID Foundation) are responsible for preparing the Trustees’ Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice).

Company law requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year, which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the incoming resources and application of resources, including the income and expenditure, of the charity for the year. 1. GENERAL INFORMATION

The charity is a private company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales and a registered charity in England and Wales. The address of the registered office is Dexters Adventure Playground, Montego Close, London, England, SE24 0LH.

2. STATEMENT OF COMPLIANCE

These financial statements have been prepared in compliance with FRS 102, 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland', the Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (Charities SORP (FRS 102)) and the Charities Act 2011. The charity meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102.

3. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

3.1 Basis of preparation of financial statements

Assets and liabilities are initially recognised at historical cost or transaction value unless otherwise stated in the relevant accounting policy note(s).

The financial statements are prepared in sterling, which is the functional currency of the charity.

3.2 Judgements and key sources of estimation uncertainty

The preparation of the financial statements requires the use of accounting estimates. It also requires management to exercise judgement in applying accounting policies. The trustees consider that there are no judgements or estimates that have had a significant effect on amounts recognized in the financial statements.

3.3 Going concern

There are no material uncertainties about the charity's ability to continue.

3.4 Fund accounting

Unrestricted funds are available for use at the discretion of the trustees to further any of the charity's purposes.

Designated funds are unrestricted funds earmarked by the trustees for particular future projects or commitments.

All incoming resources are included in the statement of financial activities when entitlement has passed to the charity; it is probable that the economic benefits associated with the transaction will flow to the charity and the amount can be reliably measured. The following specific policies are applied to particular categories of income:

3.7 Tangible assets

Tangible assets are initially recorded at cost, and subsequently stated at cost less any accumulated depreciation and impairment losses.

3.8 Depreciation

Depreciation is calculated so as to write off the cost or valuation of an asset, less its residual value, over the useful economic life of that asset as follows
