Para 1.17 To provide relief to the poor and needy or other charitsble purposes Para 1.17 aTrJ 1.19 We applied for and received over £44000 in grants to support our community project which is primarily for those escaping domestic abuse, facing poverty and refugees housed in our area. We also held fundraising events. Our Club members regularly attend the local foodbank and we have close connections with the local health professionals and schools in order to deliver essential items whether new or pre-loved to families in need. We collecL pack and deliver Chri5trnas Sacks containing toys and food for families who would otherwise have nothing. We also collect and deliver Easter Eggs. In December our members attended street collections and a local supemiarket to collect funds and food to help support our projects in the local community- A charity golf day was held to provide funds to SL V¥ilfrid's Hospice. A quiz night was held to raise funds to support a neighbouring Rotary Club who were raising funds to provide water barrels to Tanzania. Our members attend street collections at times of world disasters such as floods, earthquakes. etc in order to send donations to UK charities sending

Whether it be sorting and providing pre- loved donations for those escaping domestic violence, delivering Christmas sacks and Easter eggs, or helping at the various fundraising events including street collectsons. The Trust has four main committees.. Community, International. Youth and FoundationlFundraising. Summary of the main achievements of the chanty, identtfying the difference the charity's work has made to the circumStanS of its beneficiaries and any wider benefrts to society as a whole. P3Tr 1.20 Community: During 2023-24 we supported over 3.000 adults and 4,500 children with essential items such as clothing, shoes, bedding, beds, small furniture, and in some cases white goods. These items were given to those escaping domestic abuse, affected by poverty, the homeless and refugees living in our locality. Twice a year we hold a Tea Dance for those affected by Dementia and their carers. International: When money is collected for International causes we distribute it via international charity outlets based in the UK. This includes: Shelterbox who provides shelter and essentials to communities across the world who suffer disaster5 such as flood. earthquakes. etc. Lend with Care give small loans to entrepreneurs in developing countries to enable them to start up small businesses and become self-sufficienL African Adventures Foundation which provides volunteering opportunities for people from this country to help in schools in Ghana, Kenya and Zanzibar. We supported their Christmas Dinner appeal providing food for the schoolchildren. We sent funds to Kids for Klds to ald their work in transfomiing the lives of children of Dafur. We donated to a local Rotary Club who were collecting funds to send Water Barrels to Tanzania in order for water to be collected and rolled along the ground rather than on women's and children's heads. Also allowing the children time to attend school. Youth: We supported Young Carers in our area to attend adivities during the school holidays. We also sponsored candidates to attend a Rotary Youth Leadership Award activity week where they develop leadership skills and build self confidence and self-esteem.
Foundation and Fundraising: We supported the local hospice through our Golf Day giving enough money to run the hospice for a day. Other donations have been sent to other charities who support humanitarian aid both locally and internationally. Financial Review Review of the charty's financial position at the end of the pertod Para 1.21 Our funds at the end of our 2023-24 financial year were down compared to our 2022-23 year. This was due to a substantial amount of grant funding for our community project being received at the end of 2022-23 but not spent before the year end. There was also a significant rise in the number of families seeking our help during the year because of the 'cost of livin ' crisis.
