Deanery Synod Three lay rnembers of the PCC slt on the deanery synod. Thls provides the PCC with an important link between the parlsh and the wlder structures of the thurch. This year the PCC has also focused Its attention on the quesOnS posed to parishes STr the deanery about th• most effectlve deployment of stipendiary and non-stipendlaryclerzy.

Unfortunately, slnce the theftofvaluable chuTch •rtefacts from other thurches, we have felt unable to lèave the churches open at all tlmes for prjvate hTrP. Parochlal Church Council of Thundersley Treasurerf5 Report for the year ended 31° December 2025. These accounts have been examined by the PCC appointed Independent Exarniner, Mr Graham Dorrin8ton, and his report is attached herewlth. Due to our turnover, under the Charltie5 A¢ these accounts are able to be fonmulated on a Recelpts and Payments ba515. The General Fund deals wlth the runnin8 of both churches and both church halls and the Parish office. Our halls are fvlly open. Some small group users have been unable to continue hiring the halls due to falling members, probably due to the Cost of Living issues that everyone is facin8. Fuel bllls continue to tske up a large proportion of expenditure. Heatln& li8htin& insuring and maSntsinin8 our 2 churches. both halls, the Parish Office, John Pond Room and St Michael's Community Room are a major part of our expendlture as shown in the enclosed General Fund Income & Expendlture figures. The Parish Share requested Sum of £51045 has been pald in full. Thi5 lower sum is as a result of the Parlsh no longer havin8 a full time minister. In accordance with requirements, our historlcal bequest Trust Funds under £10,000 have been closed and the proceeds allocated to the appropriate Fabric Fund in accordance wlth the ori8lnal terms of the relevant Instructlons. Durln8 the year, an extremely generous anonymous donation of £50,000 was gratefully recelved for St Peterfs Church. On behalf of the PCC, I wish to thank everyone for their generoslty in giving financial support to the Parish, for everyone's fundraising efforts, our Hall Lettings Officers and for all the hard work which goes on behind the scenes. Wlth God's help, working together to serve Him, the Community and one another, we can grow and thrive. The financial statements of the PCC have been prepared in accordance with the Church Accounting Regulations 2006 using the Receipts and Payments basis. 2. Funds a. General Fund- can be used for PCC ordinary purposes b. Designated Fund5- monies set aside by the PCC out of unrestricted funds for specific future purposes or projects c. Restricted Funds- monies from donations received for a specific purpose. These funds may only be expended on the specific purpose for which they were given. Any balance remaining unspent at the end of the year is carried forward as a balance on that fund. 3. Fixed Assets The stated values of the Church Halls, Church Fields and the Parish Office and 14 Grangeway (residential property owned) are historical values and are not current market valuations. Buildings are insured at market values.
