Section D Achievements and performance This year the chanty continued its strategy of supporting those who remained in Yei, South Sudan while gradually reducing its support to those in refugee $eernents in Uganda. This was in resFonse to the growing number cl refugees vtho are retuming home to South sn. Summary ofthe maln achievements ofthe ch•rlty during the year In KaioKeji. thanks to a grant we received. we were ale to pay for the repairs and repainting of a primary school that was abandoned in 2017 due to the insecurity. This schod will cater for children retuming from the refugee settlements. We continued to assist the Dittese of Yei to maintain Ihe Martha PHCC and Martha Eye Clinic. paying for m&Yicines and stsff salaries We have made a major investment in texher traning, in response to the great need that there is in South Sudan for mre trained toachers. We awarded scholarships to 33 teachers in 2023. 13 of those gradualed in December and the renWn1 20 continue their courses Ihis year. W• continue to in close partnership with tho Episcopal Church of South Sudan and provided fund8 for discipleship training courses as well as for the training of dèrgy and lay18adérs.
