Company law requires the Directors to prepare Financial Statements for each financial year which gives true and fair view of the state of the company and of the profit and loss for that period. Principal Activity of the Charity I Company: The principal activity of the Charity I Company during the activity period of 2021 to 2022 continues to be that of actively promoting and advancement through community and voluntary worl the social welfare, good healt cultural. social educational and economic wellbeing of the Bangladeshi communities based in Burnley and Pendle and other established communities througbout Lanc&shire. The Charity / Company further seeks to relief poverty and provide training and employment opportunities to improve the economic condition of the people that face hardship and provide recreational or other leisure facilities to enhanLY the living conditions of people, who require such facilities due to infimlity. disablemenL and other social or econornic adversities. Despite thaL BW A has been able to accomplish many significant achievements. for which the Directors of BWA Can be proud of and as such like to extend their deepest gratitude to all thos¢ who LY)ntsibuted in n)aking those achiev¢m¢nts possible. The achievements ar¢ sun]n￿¢S as b¢low: L Edueation Home Work CknJRs: The homework tuition and guidance for secondary school pupil remains the main focus of the services provided by B WA. In addition to that BWA appointed an Advice Worker to assist with community development work that is being undert&e 2.su ort 360 The project has been nll￿1ng for over 4 year and offers advice on issues including housing, Ixnefits and immigrntion to name but a few. More recently, the organisation has employed a female worker as a Project Officer to incr¢w acce&8 and help deliver the project to the wider community. 3. Awards for All & Pro BWA continues to work with the local community and members of the public. Funded by Community Champions (Administered by Burnley Borough Council) by making 3 videos to infonn & educate people & dis￿1 myth of Covid 19. 4. Ene The project is deSI￿d to &ssist homeowners and nmke it easier for them to: Read and understand th¢ir utility bills. Switch suppliers more easily. Apply for the government energy saving schemes e.g. Green Homes GranL The entire purtK)se of the project is to help residents to take ownership and to reduce fuel poverty. Page 4
