The activity of the Charity is to promote and advance through community and voluntary work the social welfare, good health, cultural, social educational and economic wellbeing of the Bangladeshi communities based in Burnley and Pendle and other established communities throughout Lancashire.
Objects: To Promote For The Benefit Of Particularly But Not Exclusively The Bangladeshicommunity In The Boroughs Of Burnley And Pendle, In Lancashire By:a) The Advancement Of Education And Training, Including But Not Limited To Theculture, Language And Heritage Of The Community;b) The Relief Of Poverty, The Advancement Of Education And The Promotion Andprotection Of Good Health, Particularly But Not Exclusively By The Provision Ofadvice, Information And Support In Such Matters As Health, Education,welfare And Employment;c) The Provision Of Facilities For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation Withthe Object Of Improving Conditions Of Life Of Those People Who Have Need Ofsuch Facilities By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disablement, Financialhardship Or Social And Economic Circumstances.
