Edberts House builds happier, healthier, friendlier communities in Gateshead. Through four community houses, social prescribing in primary and secondary care and schools, and initiatives like Compassionate Gateshead, we connect people to services and decision-makers, empower local change, and tackle inequalities.
Objects: A) To Develop The Capacity Of The Socially And Economically Disadvantaged Members Of The Community In Such A Way That They Are Better Able To Identify And Help Meet Their Needs And To Participate More Fully In Society;b) The Relief Of Unemployment Amongst Members Of The Community In Such Ways As May Be Thought Fit, Including Assistance To Find Employment;c) To Provide Or Assist In The Provision Of Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation By Members Of The Community Who Have Need Of Such Facilities By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disability, Financial Hardship Or Social Circumstances With The Object Of Improving Their Conditions Of Life; Andd) To Promote The Good Health And Wellbeing Of All Members Of The Community.
