As the title suggests, Katherine's work focused on the beautiful coastal area tsf NorthumbeTland. Her Wrk juxtap05eJ thc tran51tory stndcastles that ¢hildren make on the beach and centuri¢5 old ca8tles along the coost. Katherine brought a deep undcTStandtng of complex cliTn#t¢ issues, susthinability and the future. The Out of Town project ended with a touring exhibition Talking Coquetdale. IOOTI which came to Bailiffgate 24 May - 2nd July. The stories of the lives of people tn this remote area of Northumberland. told in thcir own wotds, were furtny. moving and a poign8nt reminder of a styl¢ of living thaL for som< th ¢h8nged vay little for dec&d¢s. The WotLderful World vf the Ladybird Artlsts Provided a shaTP contrast to OOT. Most of those wlb) visited had 5PEcial memories of these b)ok5 which WeTC passed on frorn one generation to the next.
