The five planned exhibitions were very succ¢55ful. bro1￿ht in new audience$ 8rtd an increosc in visitor numbers acmss
the 5evson. Thank5 to our0mg2in& dedi¢aied volunteers who welcomed visitor5 from a¢ross the WOTl<L
Keep.. CAstles. Coas( COAI and Climite, showing the unique 8rt of Katherine Renton ran from 28 Marth . 21st May.
As the title suggests, Katherine's work focused on the beautiful coastal area tsf NorthumbeTland. Her Wrk juxtap05eJ thc
tran51tory stndcastles that ¢hildren make on the beach and centuri¢5 old ca8tles along the coost. Katherine brought a
deep undcTStandtng of complex cliTn#t¢ issues, susthinability and the future.
The Out of Town project ended with a touring exhibition Talking Coquetdale. IOOTI which came to Bailiffgate 24
May - 2nd July. The stories of the lives of people tn this remote area of Northumberland. told in thcir own wotds, were
furtny. moving and a poign8nt reminder of a styl¢ of living thaL for som< th ¢h8nged vay little for dec&d¢s.
The WotLderful World vf the Ladybird Artlsts Provided a shaTP contrast to OOT. The exhibition, 18th July - 5th
Novernberl attracted a wide t8ngE of visitors, seveTai of whorD were collectOTS of tAdybird Books. Most of those wlb)
visited had 5PEcial memories of these b)ok5 which WeTC passed on frorn one generation to the next. They tslked of books
that inspired their passion in natUTe. scie nce atsd affj and th¢ stories that help¢d them to leam to rcad.
The Joy of Colour. a textile exhibition featuring the work of Eta In8haTll Lawrie, bmught the year lo a]] end and started
2024 with a bla2e of colour and tranquillity. This 5tunnin8 exhibition. with its exqui5jtely woven art works w&% such a
joy to see. especially through the 8loomy, dark days at th¢ start of winier. 110 November -10 - 17 December 20￿ & 9

The Worst Record Covers in The Wtsrld was the last exhibition of the finanGial year. It raised spirits even more.
