ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 5 APRIL 2023 The Trustees present their report along wlh the accounts for the year ended 5 April 2023. Structura. Govamance and Managamant The constitution of the charity is set out on page 1. The Trustees who have served during the year and sin the year end are set out on page 1. Future Trustees must be appointed by resolution of the Trustees. The Trustees must hold at least one meeting each year. A quorum at a meeting of the TTU5tees is three Trustees. Decisions may be determined by a simple MaIrtY of the votes cast at a meeting. Objectives and Activities The Objects are to make donations towards or otherwise to promote or assist such charitable purposes and institutions as the Trustees may think frt. Public Benefit The charity Trustees have complied Mqth their duty ID have due regard lo the guidance on public benefit published by the Charity Commission and grants have been made during the year which have given public benefft to a number of chartties wth a wide variety of charitable objects. The Trustees have reviewed the major risk facing the Charty and believe that it would relate to a fall in investsment income. ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 5 APRIL 2023 CONTINUED Financial Review During the year investment and other income amounting lo £51.41712022= £53.0551 was received. and grants amounting to £30,000 {2022'. £44,000) were paid. The market value of investments al the yearnd amounted to £1,077, 136 12022= £1,152,606} and the balance on the Stockbroker Capital account amounted to £5,971 12022- £7.3921. The Trustees will continue to closely monitor the value of its investments and thè level of investment in(r)me. Achievem8nls and perfomiance In the year ending 5 April 2023. the Boumemouth property remained a home for the same family on the resettlement scheme from Syria. They had continued support from Intemational Care Network, the final year of this. Both the family and the charity were working towards finding a long-temi council home, and had support from housing agencies to do this. The Portsmouth propety remains home for the same family that came to the UK on a Afghani resettlement scheme in 2022. Hope Into Action Portsmouth and it5 partner church continue to promde regular practical and moral 5UPPOrt for them. Responsibilitias and basis of report As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance wlh the requirements of the Charities Act 20111.lhe Act"). I report in respect of my examination of the Tru5V5 aco)unt5 carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 14515llbl of the Act. Independent examinerfs statement I have completed my examination.
