King’s Chapel Apostolic Church Minutes of the Annual General Meeting
21[st] January 2023
Chairman: Pastor Louis Farquharson
Attendees: Sis Emma, Denise, Antoinette, Trecelle, Alice, Anya, Verona (Joy), Frances, Laverne, Cleoverne, Sandra, Melissa Bro Gerald, Craig, El-Makawi, Jomal, Alexander, and John.
The Annual General Meeting was opened at 10:39am by our Pastor Louis Farquharson in prayer.
The meeting was called to order with housekeeping, rules of attendance and an urge to read the AGM Minutes report before the meeting, so when everyone attends the next annual general meeting or business meeting in June, we can accept the minutes as read. AGM Minutes can sometimes consist of several pages, so reading it in advance of the next meeting will help us save time.
All leaders are in an ‘acting’ role for the duration of the meeting.
The minutes of the last meeting were read by Sis Melissa and taken as a true record.
Motion to accept the minutes:
Accepted by Sis Sandra
Seconded by Sis Anya
Matters Arising from the minutes:
Sis Emma’s name was not present in the attendees.
Bro John asked for clarification for “virtually”. Pastor responded that since some members of the church were ill, they were present
online on zoom but not in person.
Bro John also asked if the 77,800 naira to Pastor Paul is taken from the building fund. Pastor responded no, the brothers don’t give as normal apart from Bro Gerald, so as a church we give Pastor Paul a monthly sum, which in total for the year 2021 was 77,800 naira. There was some discussion if the 77,800-naira Pastor Paul received was correct.
Pastor asked that himself and Melissa have a look at the 77,800naira Pastor Paul received in 2021, reported in 2022. It is not a true reflection. We are short by at least a zero.
Pastor asked Bro John from January onwards, if he could send Pastor and Melissa the receipt/amount of what he sends to Pastor Paul, so it can be reported for the year 2023.
Sis Denise asked if we record/keep a log of the smaller transactions we do. Pastor responded yes.
Sis Melissa was handed the role of Chairman and introduced Pastor Louis Farquharson to give the Pastors Report.
Pastor’s Report:
The theme for 2023 is “RISE up and WALK”.
This report was made to be as real as possible. There is nothing that the church does not already know. We had to be relocated due to renovations at St Michaels church, but did not be as fruitful as we had hoped, as our outreach efforts proved to be unfruitful in that area. We probably did enough physically, but we probably did not do enough spiritually. We did our revival by design, and we
bound the strong man for things to be loosed. We affected the demonic realm, and the devil came back at us since we had our guard down. Sometimes we take our eyes of the ball, and we sink in the midst of what’s going on.
We need consistent prayer. We did not do enough of that where stoke heath community centre is located, The devil is not getting weaker unless the church is getting stronger.

Praying
Praying in our current climate has become very neglectful. We do not pray enough when it comes to praying in our homes. It is not supported enough, and that’s the choices we make.
-
a) Prayer has always been best and most valuable investment in this present climate.
-
b) Spiritual warfare must also become a way of life for each and every believer. However, this is only going to become because we apply ourselves and not just because we want it.
-
c) Our warfare is real, but it is too late for us to stand by as spectators hoping and praying.
-
We are in need of being strong. All the enemy always need is one weak area to break down and once that’s done, they will overtake the city and make people captive. The moment we become relaxed and distracted of what is going on in our lives, we lose.
2023 Vision
Looking back on previous years, this year’s vision has been a struggle to qualify.
I know that where there is no “vision” the people perish. Proverbs 28:18. But I also believe that where there is no people the “vision” perishes!
Matt 9:36-38, Luke 10:1-3, John 4:34-36
How many of us would rather to stay in the confines of our congregation instead of going to witness and reach our friends and
loved ones?

Monthly personal and collective time of fasting and prayer. This is imperative!
-
Growth amongst our “Sunday School” that reflects our community. Sunday school department to put plans in place for this to be achieved!
-
Growth amongst our “Youth” that reflects our city. Youth department plans to be put in place.
-
We have enough youth to get involved, and we should realise that we are all part of the vision.
-
Growth amongst our “Ladies” that reflects our city. Ladies department must put plans in place to achieve this.

Growth amongst our “Men” that reflects our city. Our men must put plans in place to achieve this. Our men need to get their act together

Seconded by Bro Gerald.
Bro John asked, “Just in case the miracle happens; does it mean you will visit all those countries?” Pastor responded maybe/maybe not; others of the church might get involved.
Bro Gerald asked “Regarding what John said, would there be a priority? (Out of the 10 countries)”
Pastor responded that yes, certain countries like Pakistan and Zimbabwe will or have provided food or accommodation. Certain
countries Pastor has also promised that he will visit, such as Rwanda and Tanzania. Nigeria is qualified for a mission’s trip as he pays his tithes and contributes towards King’s Chapel UK.
Financial Report:
The report was read by Melissa and is available on request.
Motion to accept the Report:
Accepted by Sis Trecelle
Seconded by Sis Sandra
Sis Joy commented that that is a lot we pay for storage. Each time I pray and think about what we have to pay for, it’s a lot. We have to continue, trusting and praying and doing what we know to do.
Sis Anya asked would it not be cheaper to not pay the storage and buy things new when we have our own building? Pastor responded that some of the stuff we have in storage is worth thousands, and we would have to spend more thousands of pounds to be able to buy it back.
Sis Laverne asked apart from Pastor Paul, do we have any other pastors that we give to on a regular basis? Pastor responded no. We support pastors periodically, but it is only Pastor Paul that is supported regularly. Some of the churches are not onboard with the vision, unlike Pastor Paul.
Sis Denise asked, for the storage, are we still paying for the garage in Cheylesmore, and if we do is it only a couple of chairs? Pastor responded that no we have large stuff. Sis Denise asked if we take action and have a look at what’s in there and possibly distribute what is in there amongst the church members, to try and save
money. We will check the storage and take pictures.
The financial report questions and comments ended with a statement from Pastor asking for those who are Taxpayers that when you are giving offering whether it be online or cash, please make sure your name and the amount of offering is stated, so that we as a church can claim back on it through GiftAid.

King’s Chapel Financial report for 2022
2022 was my first year as treasurer of King’s Chapel Apostolic church. Though my first year of treasurer was straightforward, it is because of Pastor Louis and other church members that it came to be so.
This year we have seen the majority of the congregation paying their tithes and offering online, and have seen an increase in tithe payers also. The increase in tithe payers and giving positively affects the state of the churches bank balances and allows for more money to go into the mission’s fund and building fund.
This year, we have also seen our Gift Aid return to be higher than the previous year. The sum was £4480.28. This sum was higher than last year largely due to the fact that we had more tithe payers. Because of this, we were able to put a substantial amount of money into our building fund.
Our building fund account stood at just under £10,000 for the end of 2022. (£9,357.43) We started off the year with £3541.50, so we have seen an increase of just under £6000 (£5815.93) For 2023, it would be good to aim for a bigger increase to the building fund, so we can place a bigger deposit on a building to call home for King’s Chapel Apostolic Church.
Our missions fund account has struggled this year, especially in supporting our Pastor in missions trips this year to Kenya and Tanzania. We have also supported various needs of Pastors across the world, including Pakistan, Nigeria, Zambia and Kenya. The end of year balance for the missions account stood at £515.46, which is more half of what it was in January 2022. (£1128.95)
For the year of 2022, these were the figures of each month.
January 2022 Current account : £1381.33
Building Fund: £3441.46
Missions account: £1128.96
February 2022
Current account : £814.15 Building Fund: £3541.53 Missions account: £228.97
March 2022
Current account : £1614.58 Building Fund: £4337.53 Missions account: £147.07
April 2022
Current account : £1723.05 Building Fund: £7027.84 Missions account: £315.09
May 2022
Current account : £1432.81 Building Fund: £7128.46 Missions account: £1335.19
June 2022
Current account : £456.80 Building Fund: £7670.91 Missions account: £1677.32
July 2022
Current account : £500.83 Building Fund: £7771.52 Missions account: £277.44
August 2022
Current account : £610.79 Building Fund: £7872.23 Missions account: £377.47
September 2022
Current account : £491.51 Building Fund: £7473.66 Missions account: £347.53
October 2022
Current account : £2627.14 Building Fund: £7576.12 Missions account: £314.63
November 2022
Current account : £2464.98 Building Fund: £7680.51 Missions account: £1985.93
December 2022
Current account : £422.84 Building Fund: £9357.43 Missions account: £515.46
For 2023, I pray that we become more generous in our giving. Not just by paying our tithes which belongs to God, but in our financial offerings and that by ‘sowing’ into the church and missions financially, you may all have favour in God and be stable in your own lives financially, because God had made it to be so.
As a church and collective body, let’s make 2023 the year we can put a deposit down on a building and establish roots.
Lastly, I’d like to thank Our Pastor Louis and Sis Sandra for all of the guidance and support you have given to me in my first year as treasurer.
Thank you

bound the strong man for things to be loosed.
