Summary of
achievements
the main
ofthe charity
The Pre-School has continued to provide term time education
and care
for 2to4-yearold
children.
during the year We returned
to the running
ofour pre school in September 2021 following
the lifting ofeny restric5ons due tothe pandemic,
however we returned
to
the School Room building aweek later than when the Autumn
term
began. We worked ckxsely with Croplhom~harkon
CofEschool
to provide an outdoor learning
environment
on their premises.
The Autumn
term started with a lower number ofchildren
than
ks the
summer. as itdoes at the beginning
ofevery academic year. but the
successful visiting sessions helped welcome new families through the
doom ofour lovely setting, and we will soon see the numbers
increase
and the preschool
community
grow positively.
Vicky Morris con5nues to manage the setting. alongside
working
fu8 time
within the preschool. and has helped staff continue to deliver the high
quality childcare that our children are lucky enough toexlmrience.
Ithes
been fantastic towatch the staff team develop with some new faces, a8
bringing a wealth ofknowledge
and experience to compliment
the strong
statf team.
The fundraising
and generosity of our pre school and village community
hes been outstanding,
and we have seen amazing
contributions.
Fingers
crossed for more bri8ient fundraising
ideas in the coming year!
We have had to utilise s few other set8ngs dunng the building
works
within the school room bu8ding and our staff, ch8dren and parents have
responded
excep5onagy
well to our requests and changes ofplans. Ithas
given us s8the opportunity
to discover Ihe forest school ares at school,
and venture a little furlher to Bugs and Blossom, which is always s very
welcomed
trip.
We have seen our fami5es accept the changes within the preschool
exbemely
well. and itgoes w8hout saying Ihat itmakes the jobs of
everyone a lot easier when there is a level ofmutual respect end
understanding,
when we fa8 on tough 5mes and have to make changes
in how the preschool has been ran.
The children ofthe pnechool are at the forefront ofa8 our decisions, and
we thank everyone for their understanding
when we have had to make
last minute changes (especially
during the heatwave
in July 2022, where
we couldn't continue
with the outdoor provision).
