Sanderson in his role as General Director in Colombia and Principal Ambassador in reporting back 10 the charity sponsors in the UK and Ireland Public benefit The Charity Commis5Ton has sei oul general principles lo be used in assesstng the public benefil of UK chariltes. To ensure il meeis ihese principles. Ihe Trusl niusl be able to demonslrai¢ thai 115 work benefils the piiblic or a seclion of ihe publi¢. The relief ofpoi'ertv and the provision of a home- Supporting the provision of four eslablished children's honies for children in high-risk siluaiions. To break the immediate effects of poijerty through helpin8 proi'ide (and develop) a home. food and caring Slaff, cloihing, protection and support. {Approx. Richard Sanderson was provided with support fees both for his work as General Director in Bogola. and also within ihe UK and Ireland as priiicipal ambassador in raising awareness and financial support for Ihe charily by giving lalks and repons of the activities and impaci of the work in Colombia.

  1. Proi'iding an Educalion. Supponing ihe provision of a school in Colombia. Helping make a provision for leaching staff. and therefore an education to break the cycle of poverty ihal has been seen in generations of Ihe families of each child (Approx. 185 childr¢n helpcd continuously.) Educaiion from nursery through to the end of High School. Specific granls were given loii'ards further and Iiigher education, benefilling three young adulis in accordanc¢ M'iih Ihe donor's inslruclions. Funds were granlcd for the extension ofihe upstairs of Ihe Children's Vision Garage/Mainlenance building. This allowed for Ihe space needed lo relocale the Elccirical and Carpenlry workshops. This is ofgreal value 10 Ihe young adults who will be able lo conlinue Iheir fornialion with ihese important life skills. Funds granted for sections l and 2: £146.490 (please nole Ihai ihis includes a provision for wages, ulilil}' bills and food Ihai is shared between Ihe homes and the school, and also coniribuled loN'ards caring for those who are sick ihrough the proi'ision of nurses}. New Hope for Childreii has receii'¢d funds lo the Ioial of £41,905 which will be granied lo Children's Vision in Bogoia, Colombia during 2024 for the purchase of Ihe "Deiileronomy House.. This will be Childreil's Vision's 5, children's home in Bogola. The home will provide a safe and loving place 10 live from Monday lo Friday for approx. 25 boy5 belween the ages of 5 10 13 years old. These children coine froni very poor and vulnerable families. The inilial property purchase will take place during the first 6 months of 2024 wilh a further 6-monih period for remodelling. This ivill be Ihe ulmination of the original vision of ihe founder ofchildren's Visioii 10 have 5 homes, a school and a medical unil. Approximately 2.500 families helped during 2023. 3. Education. Providing grants towards wages for ivell Irained leachers working in the school. To help each child develop Ihe knowledge and skills Ihal will help break the cycle of poverty in gcneralions of their families.
