Section E Financial review

AAD operates with minimal overheads and is a natural conduit of Brief statement of the donations flowing through to Uganda from the UK. As such there is no charity’s policy on reserves requirement other than the temporary targeting of specific project requirements and for obtaining short term interest on deposit accounts with instant access to build reserves.

Notwithstanding the above the Trustees agreed in September 2010 to keep in reserve a sum to cover 50% of one year’s wages for teachers at St Marks. This is currently about £5,000.00
