Summary
ofthe main
activities
in relation to those
Para 1.17and
1.19
The purpose of Life Bridging Works is to give a
hand up not a hand-out.
This means that the
purposes for the public empowering
of local, indigenous
leaders
is at
benefit, in particular, the the core ofthe charity focus. All LBW activities
activities, projects or in this period continued to be performed
in
services identified in the conjunction
with local, indigenously
led
accounts. churches that we have a connection
with.
These good works
in turn naturally
warm
people tothe church and empower
significant
community
members,
with the result of
advancing
the Christian
message and hope to
others within the community
that the good
work is performed
in. This work is then
supported
by our specialist teams and
UK
based trustees who are in contact both through
virtual communication
and through
physical
travel to see the projects in their location. This
year has brought
growth
in a number
ofthe
activities that take place through
the support of
the local church:
~
Hiring another Toposan
Bible translator
so that this project may continue to
grow and see its goal reached.
~
Meeting with key leaders
in
conferences
in a number ofcountries
for teaching, fellowship
and vision
setting.
Beginning the building of another safe
house to support
vulnerable
individuals
and families who are fleeing from
persecution
and abuse.
Lobbying for the release of imprisoned
Christians
who are being held for
practising their faith.
Starting regular village health
programmes
in South Sudan with
indigenous
trained
medical
professionals.

with pastoral concerns.

Ministries
Leadership
team

leaders
in Kenya to
gather for theological
training
and
encouragement.
Enabling Salt and Light Outreach
Ministries
leaders from South Sudan
to
gather for teaching
and discipleship,
and pastors to do Discovery Bible Study
in village churches.
Life Bridging Works helps advance education of
the public by:
~ Providing ofeducation to
disadvantaged
children through
two
sponsorship
schemes. We currently
sponsor 24 children
and young people
from an area ofSouthern
Sudan who
attend
Kuleu Lights School. There are
many orphans
and disadvantaged
children there due to the recent
conflict. From our original sponsorship
scheme with the Toposa people we
continue to also support 1student
through to their University
level
studies. The remaining
students
that
we sponsored
through
university
are
now returning
to support the
community
that they are from in a
number ofdifferent ways. Our second
sponsorship
scheme runs
in Alebtong,
Northern
Uganda
at Blessed Hope
School where we are supporting
the
most in need children
from these
deprived
areas. There are currently
25
children
being supported
on this
scheme.
So, in total we are sponsoring
49 children/young
people. We hope
to
use the finances that we have been
using for the original sponsorship
scheme to increase our Primary
education
schemes
in South Sudan.
~ Development
ofeducational
establishments.
We are currently
raising funds for an exam hall to be
built in Blessed Hope School, a project
we started
in 2021.We are now solely
looking for the funding to render the
walls and equip the building.
We also
have sent teams of UK volunteers
to
both schools
in question to help with
painting,
carpentry,
bicycle repair and
lessons.
