Stokenchurch, HP14 3QF 1121684 MAJOR ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE YEAR stokenchurch Scout and Guide Headquarters was established as a charty in November 2007, with the express purpose of building and maintaining a headquarters building for use by 1 Stokenchurch Scout Group and Girlguiding Stokenchurch Stokenchurch Scout and Gulde Headquarters is a trust established under a Trust Deed daled 9 October 2007. Tvrt) trustees are appoinled by 111 Stokenchurch Scout Group. and fvio trustees are appointed by Girlguiding Stokenchurch. An independent Chairperson was appointed by these trustees, and was duly elected to chair the M8n8gement Committee. The Trustees and Management Committee have all done their part to aid smtx)Ih running, with the benefit of no changes to the rnembership. The Trustees pass on their gratefu5 thanks to all those (seen and unseen) who continue to support the provision of the building which is used by so many young people each week. Jon Hall will be standing down as a Tnjstee appointed by the Scout Group, and we thank him for his diligence over many years. Covid-19 restrictions have had a significant impact on activities in the building. The buildlng was mothballed from April until September 2020. Some activities -started in September. with increased use of the outdoor areas (aided by the installation of additional floodlights) and following all the necessary Risk Assessments induding control of movement inside the building and enhanced cleaning of toilels. The spacious main hall. and ease of providing good ventilation, enabled users to move indoors when the weather worsened. We had to close the building again in November 2020. but as we move towards Easter 2021 activrties are able to resume. We are hoping for'business as usual" after Easter 2021. Since our last full reporting. Bucks Council have dosed the Children's Centre. After some deliberations, they agreed lo continue with their tenancy agreement to allow their Children's Services team to use the facilities. This team are able to make extensive use of the main hall, and ancillary facilities, to run training courses in a covid-safe manner. The activity level is increasing. and we look foTrvard to more extensive use of the building as they consider use of the office and consulting rooms for office accommodalion (depending on post-covid organisational requIrnents) We are in receipl of govemment covid grants. for which Scout and Guide premises are included within the hospitality and leisure sector. This has enabled us to subsidise rents for users, but still retain a healthy balance sheet. Reserves held on account are consistent with the policy established by the Management Committee.
