That there is one true God who, although one, is trÉune, comprlsing Father, Son and Holy Spiri( who are co-equal and have been in existcnce etemally. To encourage all those who know and love the Lord Jesus ChrisL to come tog&h¢r regularly for worsbip prayer and Bible study that the spiritual ]ife of all in the local church may grow to the glory of God. 4) Htstory From our earliest records, we know that the WO￿ being carried out from Coleford Gospel Hall wa8 c<)rnm¢nced by a sm(Ill group of Cl]ristians in the early 1920's. The meeting8 took place frst of all in the corrugated iron hut on Highbury Cross, Higbbury. Col¢ford and from January 1984 in th¢ pres¢nt premises adjacent to Highbury Cross. The spiritual leadership and pastoral care of the church is the re8p)nsibility of the elders, but ¢v¢ry member is considcred of ¢qual importanc¢ and ar¢ mwurdg(xJ to tsk¢ an acliv¢p8rt in thc lifc ofthc churclL We encourage each other to live out our faith every day, at work and at home, not just on Sundays. We welcom¢ all new faces and continually seek to make new contacts in the distiict. We are always willing to provide spiritual help and advice and are happy to hear from members of the local community at any time who may be seeking spiritual guidance. 5) Activities As Christian8, Sunday is special for us. As believers we meet in the tnorning for alin￿ of worship at our Breaking of Br¢ad {Commw)ion) service. In the evening ther¢ is a Family Gospel Service which begins with favourite hymx)s and then a short Gospel talk followed by a cup of tea and biscuits. On the Last Sunday of the month we hold a T¢a and Talk s¢rvi¢e. Our activiti&8 are not ¢onfioLxl to Sundays. On Tu¢sday Ev¢nings we meet for Bible Study and Prayer. On Thursdays we hold a Carers and Toddle￿ in the morning and a Ladies Meeting in the afternoon. On the third Saturday of each mont14 we hold a Men's Breakhst early in the morning, with a brief reading and explanatory taIk from th¢ Bible. An older group of young p￿pIc (18yrs plus) meet o¢casionally on Friday evenings for table sports and a light meal. Details of all events, are advertised on our web site at www.coleford os elhall.or .
