METHOD OF APPOINTMENT OR ELECTION OF TRUSTEES The Trustees ol the Endowment Fund shall be not less than three or more than ￿e1ve in number and shall, as lar as possible, Ibut wilhoul imposing any legal obligation in this respect) include a majority of persons connected with Toby and Regina Wyles Charitable Trust. The power of appointing new Trustees is invested in the surviving or continuing Trustees. TRUSTEES. RESPONSIBILITIES STATEMENT The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees. report and the financial slalemenls in accordance with appli¢able law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards Iuniled Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Praclicel. This departure has involved following Ihe Charities SORP (FRS 1021 published on 16 July 2014 rather than the Accounting and Reporting by Charilies.. Statement of Recommended Practice effective from 1 April 2005 which has since been withdrawn. The financi81 slalements have been prepared under the historical oosl convention with items recognised at cost or transaction value unless otherwise slated in the relevant notes lo these accounts. The financial statements have been prepared in accordance wtlh the Slalemenl of Recommended Practice.. Accounting and Reporting by Charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 issued on 16 July 2014 and Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 and Charities Acl 2011. Toby and Regina Wyles Charitable Trust constilules a public benefit entity as defined by FRS 102. 1.2 Income All income is re¢ognised once the charity has enlillemenl lo the in¢ome, il is probable that the income will be received and the amount of income receivable can be measured reliably. Income lax recoverable in relation to donations received under Gift Aid or deeds of Covenant is recognised at the lime of the donation. 1.3 Expendlture Expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or constructive obligation to transfer economic benefit lo a third party, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in selllemenl and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is classified by aclivily. The costs of each aclivily are made up of the total of direct Costs and shared costs, including support costs involved in undertaking each aclivily. Direct costs allribulable lo a single activity are allocated directly to that aclivily. Shared costs which ¢onlTibule lo more than one activity and support costs which are not allribulable lo a single ac11vily are apportioned between Ih05e activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources. Central staff costs are allocated on the basis ol lime spent, and (Jeprecialion charges allocated on the portion of the asset's use. Governance costs are those incurred in connection with administration of the ¢harily and compliance with constitutiona1 and slalulory requirements. Charitable aclNilies and Governance costs are costs incurred on the charity's educaliDnal operations. including support costs and costs relating to the governance of the charity apportioned lo charitable activities. Grants payable are charged in the year when thè offer is made except in those cases where Ihe offer is conditional, such grants being recognised as expenditure when the conditions allaching are fulfilled. Grants offered subject lo conditions which have not been mel al the year end are noted as a commitment, but not accrued as expenditure. Page 7

Liabilities are recognised al Ihe amount that the charity anticipates it will pay lo settle the debt or the amount il has received as advanced payments for the good5 or service5 il musl provide. Provisions are measured al the best estimate of the amounts required lo sellle the obligation. Where the eflecl of the time value ol money is material, the provision is based on the present valu& of those amounts, discounted al the pre.lax discount rale that reflects the risks specific lo the liability. The unwinding of the discount is recognised within interest payable and similar ¢harge5. 1.7 Flnanclal Instruments The charity only has financial assets and financial liabilities of a kind that qualify as basic financial inslrumenls. Basic financial instruments are initially recognised al transaction value and subsequently measurèd al their selllemenl value with the exception of bank loans which are subsequently measured at 8mortised cost using the effective interest method. 1.8 Fund accounting General funds are unrestricted funds which are available lor use al the discretion of thè Trustees in furtherance ol the general objectives of the charity and which have not been designated for other purposes.
