a. POLICIES AND OBJECTIVES
The Charity is established for the purpose of the advancement of education and ieligion and relief of the persons
in need, hardship or distress 8nd other eharilable purpose including Iwilhout limitation to the foregoing) the
making of grants and subscriptions lo other charitable bodies Ilhe 'objecls"l-
The Trustees hold the income of the Endowment Fund lo pay and supply the same in promotion of the objects in
such manner as the Trustees from lime lo time think fil and in particular the Trustees shall have power lo pay the
said income lo the Trustees of Toby and Regina Wyles Charitable Trust for ils general purposes, provided
always that the Trustees shall be entitled lo direct that all or part of the payment shall be applied lor any one or
more specified purpose.
Notwithstanding the foregoing trust income, the Trustèes may al any lime al their discretion pay or apply the
whole or any part of the capital of the Endowment Fund In promotion of the objects in such 8 Manner as they
a. GOING CONCERN
After making appropriate enquiries, the trustees have a reasonable expectation that the ch8rity has adequate
resources lo continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. For this reason they continue lo adopt
the going concern basis in preparing the financial 51alemenls. Further details regarding the adoption of the going
concern basis can be found in the Accounting Policies.
a. CONSTITUTION
Toby and Regina Wyles Charitable trust is a Charity consliluled by a Declar81ion of Trust dated
10 February 2007
b. METHOD OF APPOINTMENT OR ELECTION OF TRUSTEES
The Trustees ol the Endowment Fund shall be not less than three or more than ￿e1ve in number and shall, as
lar as possible, Ibut wilhoul imposing any legal obligation in this respect) include a majority of persons connected
with Toby and Regina Wyles Charitable Trust. The power of appointing new Trustees is invested in the surviving
or continuing Trustees.
TRUSTEES. RESPONSIBILITIES STATEMENT
The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees. report and the financial slalemenls in accordance with
appli¢able law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards Iuniled Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting
Praclicel.
The law applicable lo ch2rilies in England & Wales requires the Trustees lo prepare financial statements for
each financial year which give a true and fair view of the slate of affairs of the charity and of the incoming
resources and applicauon of resources of the charity for that period. In preparing these financial slalemenls, the

prepare the financial statements on the going concÈm basis unless il is inappropriate to presume that the
charity wi51 continue in operation.
The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that are sufficient lo show and explain the
charity's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy al any lime the financial posilion of the charity and
enable them lo ensure that the financial slalements comply with the Charities Act 2011. the Charity (Accounts
and Reports) Regulations 2008 and the provisions of the trust deed. They are also responsible for safeguarding
the assets ol the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and
other irregularities.
The Trustees 2re responsible for the Maintenan￿ and integrity of the charity and financial information included
on the charil¥s website. Legislation in the United Kingdom governing the preparation and dissemination of
financial statements may differ from le9islalion in other jurisdictions.

I report lo the charity Trustees on my examination of the accounts of the charity for the year gnded 5 April 2022.
RESPONSIBIUTIES AND BASIS OF REPORT
As the Trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with th8
requirements of tho Charities Act 2011 I'the 2011 Act'l.
I report in respect of my examination of the charills account5 carried oul under section 145 of the 2011 Act and
in carrying out my examination I have followed all the 8pplicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
Ltnder section 145{5llbl of the 2011 Act.
INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENT
Since the (*arills gross income exceeded £250,000 your examiner musl be a me￿ber of a body lislgd in
section 145 of the 2011 Act. I confirm that l am qualified lo undertak8 the examination because l am a member
of ICAEW, which is one of the ligled bodigs.

Reporting by Charities.. Sialement of Recommended Pr8Ctic8 applicable lo charitie5 preparing their a¢¢ounls
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applieable in the UK and R6F)ublic of Ireland IFRS 102) in
preference lo the Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Slalem9nl of Recommended Practice issued on 1 April

l understand that this has been done in order for the accounts to provide a true and fair vw in accordance with
the Generally Accepted Accounting Practice effective for reporting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2015.

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
1.1 Basls of preparation of financial statements
The financial slalernents have been prepared lo give a 'true and fair, view and have departed from
the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 only to the exlenl required lo provide a 'lrue
and fair, view. This departure has involved following Ihe Charities SORP (FRS 1021 published on 16
July 2014 rather than the Accounting and Reporting by Charilies.. Statement of Recommended
Practice effective from 1 April 2005 which has since been withdrawn.
The financi81 slalements have been prepared under the historical oosl convention with items
recognised at cost or transaction value unless otherwise slated in the relevant notes lo these
accounts. The financial statements have been prepared in accordance wtlh the Slalemenl of
Recommended Practice.. Accounting and Reporting by Charities preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS
1021 issued on 16 July 2014 and Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the United Kingdom and
Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 and Charities Acl 2011.
Toby and Regina Wyles Charitable Trust constilules a public benefit entity as defined by FRS 102.
1.2 Income
All income is re¢ognised once the charity has enlillemenl lo the in¢ome, il is probable that the
income will be received and the amount of income receivable can be measured reliably.
Income lax recoverable in relation to donations received under Gift Aid or deeds of Covenant is
recognised at the lime of the donation.
1.3 Expendlture
Expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or constructive obligation to transfer economic
benefit lo a third party, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in
selllemenl and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is classified by
aclivily. The costs of each aclivily are made up of the total of direct Costs and shared costs,
including support costs involved in undertaking each aclivily. Direct costs allribulable lo a single
activity are allocated directly to that aclivily. Shared costs which ¢onlTibule lo more than one activity
and support costs which are not allribulable lo a single ac11vily are apportioned between Ih05e
activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources. Central staff costs are allocated on the
basis ol lime spent, and (Jeprecialion charges allocated on the portion of the asset's use.
Governance costs are those incurred in connection with administration of the ¢harily and compliance
with constitutiona1 and slalulory requirements.
Charitable aclNilies and Governance costs are costs incurred on the charity's educaliDnal
operations. including support costs and costs relating to the governance of the charity apportioned lo
charitable activities.
Grants payable are charged in the year when thè offer is made except in those cases where Ihe
offer is conditional, such grants being recognised as expenditure when the conditions allaching are
fulfilled. Grants offered subject lo conditions which have not been mel al the year end are noted as a
commitment, but not accrued as expenditure.

1.4 Interest receivable
Interest on funds held on deposit is included when receivable and the amount can be measured
reliably by the charity., this is normally upon nolificalion of the interest paid or payable by the Bank.
1.5 Cash at Bank and In hand
Cash al bank and in hand includes cash and short term highly liquid investments with a short
maturity ol three month5 or less from the dale of acquisition or opening of the deposit or similar
account.
1.6 Llabllities and provisions
Liabilities are ¥ecognised when there is an obligation al the Balance sheet dale as a result of a past
event, it is probable that a Iransler of economic benefit will be required in selllemenl. and the
amount of the settlement ¢an be eslimaled reliably. Liabilities are recognised al Ihe amount that the
charity anticipates it will pay lo settle the debt or the amount il has received as advanced payments
for the good5 or service5 il musl provide. Provisions are measured al the best estimate of the
amounts required lo sellle the obligation. Where the eflecl of the time value ol money is material,
the provision is based on the present valu& of those amounts, discounted al the pre.lax discount
rale that reflects the risks specific lo the liability. The unwinding of the discount is recognised within
interest payable and similar ¢harge5.
1.7 Flnanclal Instruments
The charity only has financial assets and financial liabilities of a kind that qualify as basic financial
inslrumenls. Basic financial instruments are initially recognised al transaction value and
subsequently measurèd al their selllemenl value with the exception of bank loans which are
subsequently measured at 8mortised cost using the effective interest method.
1.8 Fund accounting
General funds are unrestricted funds which are available lor use al the discretion of thè Trustees in
furtherance ol the general objectives of the charity and which have not been designated for other
purposes.
