Food Support - Project Gateway remalns Inundated wlth requests for food support Irom Pastors around the clty. therefore 5tru88le to provlde lor themselves and their famllles. Durin8 this year we partnered wlth ABELUSI Global in creatln8 and enhancin8 gardens in rural communlties around the clty. In total we are now monitoring 11 gardens which feed more than 3000 people each month. Other smaller gardens are also assi51ed in many local areas. Gateway School of Fashlon - In February 2023 a new group of learners started the course. wilh 21 In Year I, and 11 in Year 2. The Year 2 learners were able lo gencrale income bv making and solling variou5 Items of clothing. We completed Ihe curriculum on tlme. and the end ol year Fashion Show was a Breat success. Early ChSldhood Development- 15 creches were supported and monitored by us durlng the year, and all of them have started of maintalned ve8etable gardens. The produce from the gardens enhances on a dally basis ihe food 8iven to the children. Team Vlslts- No teams or indlviduals were able to vlsit and help out Prolect Gateway durln8 2023. General Funds . The money In this fund pays for the central office functlons le.8. accouniln8. utllities, Insurance, HR managoment, cleanln8 etcl. and also partly funds a person In the UK to undertake the publicity, soclal media, wobslte, annual roports and related functlon5 for Project Gateway. Some of the 8eneral funds help 10 Support the Empowerment programmes whlch traln students In work related skllls. The Trustees have complled wlth tho duty In Sectlon 17 01 the Charltie5 Act 2011 to have due regard lo the public benefit 8uidance publlshed by the Charity CommlssS0n.
