Activities
The charity aims to help disadvantaged students in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia, by providing meals, a safe environment during the day and other support as necessary. Ryton Comprehensive School, Tyne & Wear, regularly sends students out to Bahir Dar to support the running of the centre, and in doing so promoting understanding of the developing world within the school.
Objects: 1. To Advance The Education Of Underprivileged Children In Ethiopia, In Particular, But Not Exclusively By Providing, Or Assisting In The Provision, Of A Day Centre At Bahir Dar Known As The New Day Children's Centre;2. To Advance Public Education, Particularly In The North East Of England About The Peoples, Culture, History, Intellectual And Economic Life Of Ethiopia; And3. To Promote Volunteering Among Youth People Wishing To Carry Out Voluntary Work In Ethiopia, In Particular, But Not Exclusively, Work At The New Day Children's Centre At Bahir Dar
