TO ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION, PARTICULARLY IN THE NORTH EAST OF ENGLAND ABOUT THE PEOPLES, CULTURE, HISTORY, INTELLECTUAL AND ECONOMIC LIFE OF ETHIOPIA; AND3. TO PROMOTE VOLUNTEERING AMONG YOUTH PEOPLE WISHING TO CARRY OUT VOLUNTARY WORK IN ETHIOPIA, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, WORK AT THE NEW DAY CHILDREN'S CENTRE AT BAHIR DAR

**Activities:** The charity aims to help disadvantaged students in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia, by providing meals, a safe environment during the day and other support as necessary.  Ryton Comprehensive School, Tyne & Wear, regularly sends students out to Bahir Dar to support the running of the centre, and in doing so promoting understanding of the developing world within the school.
