The trustees present their annual report and financial statements for the year ended 31st August 2023. Objectives and aims The objective of the Charity is to advance education of children attending the Polish School of Tadeusz Kosciuszko in Ealing, in particular but not exclusively by maintaining and developing the school and providing resources and teaching, where necessary.
The trustees confirm that they have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit. Significant activities The charity's primary activity is providing teaching to children aged between 4 and 18 with the curriculum preparing for GCDE and ‘A-level’ examinations. Fundraising in order to provide the necessary environment and conditions for the above.

TRUSTEES' REPORT
¢ The school celebrated series of events for the 70th Anniversary designed to bring together the community, as well as fundraising for school's running costs. ¢ Promoted Polish culture and local Ealing community participation, amongst them The Three Kings procession. ¢ Promoted local businesses through our Christmas and Easter Fayres. « Engaged in a busy roster of educational activities for children and young people in our school, amongst them educational assemblies, concerts, poetry competitions. Charitable activities ¢ The school relies heavily on volunteers and parents to help with the day to day running of activities, including administrative tasks, playground supervision duties and fundraising activities. ¢ This year the school organised Christmas, Easter and Summer Fayres which raised £6,335 ¢ Fundraised £345.42 for the Turkey and Syria earthquake fund in collaboration with CAFOD. Financial review
There are no major concerns over the future operation of the charity, however, we are reviewing our fee structure in light of potential increases to staff salaries and upcoming lease review.

- ACCOUNTING POLICIES
1h. Basis Of Accounting
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention. The accounts have been prepared in accordance with FRS102 - The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland and the Companies Act 2006 and the requirements of the Statement of Recommended Practice, Accounting and Reporting by Charities.
1b. Change In Accounting Policy In preparing the financial statements for the current year, the company has adopted the following Financial Reporting Standards:
-Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective January 2015 ). The adoption of new accounting standards has not resulted in any adjustments to the results of the company in either this year or the previous year.
1c. Incoming Resources All incoming resources are included on the Statement of Financial Activities when the charity is legally entitled to the income and the amount can be quantified with reasonable accuracy.
1d. Resources Expended Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings that aggregate all cost related to the category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources.
1e. Allocation And Apportionment Of Costs All costs relate to the single activity of the charitable company and are recognised accordingly.
1f. Fund Accounting Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees.
Restricted funds can only be used for particular restricted purposes within the objects of the charity. Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular restricted purposes.
