We achieve our objectives by continuing lo support people living with disabilities and delivering accessible and affordable exercise classes In our gym and in a range of community setlings. Achlevements and perfomian¢e Key achievements this year include: Growth in Services: Our services encompassed both In-person and online aclivilies. To address in¢r8asing demand for our support, and provide the most accessible range of services, we concentrated our resources on predominantly in-person adivities. However, we maintained a minimal online exercise and dietary option for those unable to access in-person support. Refined Focus on Complex Needs: This year. we refined our focus to support more individuals wilh complex or serious health conditions for extended periods. By dedicating our resources lo those with higher needs, and therefore Ihe greatest barriers lo exercisè, we reduced our support to Individuals wilh less-complex disabilities or health conditions. This strategic adjuslm8nt allow8d us to betler meet the needs ol those requiring inlensNe and longer-16rm assistance Tailored and Inclussve Support: Our small, experienced team delivered a highly lailored and indusive seniice. aimlng lo meet the unique needs of every member within our diverse gym communily Statutory Gontracts: We successfully maintained our statutory cnntrad lo deliver Ihe specialisl Disability Weight Management service, "E.al Wp.11 & Move,, in partnership wtlh LB Tower Hamlels Public Health. This pilot projecl supports local individuals with disabilities and health conditions in managing Iheii weight. We continued lo deliver the 'Accessible Exercise and Join In. project for HaGkney residents. in our ongoing partnership with NEL NHS Volunteer Contributions". Volunteers have been vital to our operalions, providing support at all levels of the organisation. This year, we collaborated with volunteer gym buddies. a bookkeeper. and a creative writer, all of whom enriched our ServI￿S and community. Team and Leadership: The dedicalion of our staff and volunteers ensures the gym remains a friendly. welcoming. and inclusive environmerbl for all. We are also very graleful for the ongoing ￿mMItMen1 and 5UPPOrt of our Board ofTrustees.

These were delivered as one-tfrone exercise appointments and small group aclivilies. both al the Ability Bow gym and in Ihe community. Referrals from local health services increased lo 206 patients over the year compared to 175 in 2023, Appointments and Revenue: We delivered a total of 8,505 appoinlments Ihis year (compared to 4.834 in 2023) and generaled £21,406 from gym fees {£20,983 in 2023). Engagement and Communlcatlon: We continued to publish a weekly news bulletin featuring gym updates, local nev￿, and articles and reviews written by gym members. This inilialive slrenglhens charily engagement and foslers a sense of belonging among our members. Financial review In this financial year there were some successes In securing new slalulory c£Jnlracls and donations from individuals, and we slarted lo r8grow our Income from gym fees and service delivery, The Statement of Finanaal Adivilies shows a defidl of total ￿n￿MIng resources compared with expended resources of 5,308 (2023 Surplus £1,597). Expenses decreased £5.828 to £240,956. The 2023 expenditure included £15,987 related lo a change In Ihe amount of provision required for service charges and deaning expens8s which was nol repealed in the curient year. Going Concern Al Ilie time of approving the financial slalemenls, the truslees have a reasonable expectation Ihal the charitable company has adequate resources to continue in operalional existence for the foreseeable future. Thus the trustees continue to adopt lh8 going corKem basis of accounting in preparing the financial statements. Reserves pollcy The Charity has a reserves policy that has a short-teim minimum aim lo maintain sufficienl funds for the company lo operate al ils ourrenl level over a Ihree-monlh period. The medium-lemi aim of the resetves policy is lo maintain sufficient fund5 to enable the expansion of cUr￿n1 service5 and Ihe long-term aim is lo maintain sufffcicnl funds to exlend the Charity's services. The charily's reserves at the end of Ihe year stood at £40,[￿2. Of these reserves, £13.675 is represented by reslricled funds, and none are invested in the Charilys fixed assets. At the balance sheel dale the fFee reserves tolalled £26,387. Compared to the average expenditure of the Charity during year. the ftEe reserves held at the balance sheel date fall below the amount stated in our short-term minimum reserves policy. The IrLFslees have assessed the major risks lo which the charilable company is exposed, and are satisfied Ihal syslems are in place lo miligale exposure lo the major risks. Principal funding sources The main funding sources for the charity are tharilable Irust funding. income from slalutory contracts, and fundralsed income from sporting and sponsorship events that supporters underlake on our behalf. Investment powers and policy Under the Memorandum and Article5 of Associalion, the Charity has Ihe power to ir)vest in any way the Truslees wish. The policy of the Truslees is to invest any surplus funds on bank deposit.

FRS 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in Ihe UK and Republic of Ireland" {"FRS 102.) and Ihe Charities SORP "Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommendéd Praciice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in Ihe UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)" (effective l January 2019). The charily Is a Public Benefit Entity as defined by FRS 102. The financial statements have departed from the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 only lo Ihe exlenl required to provide a true and fair view. This departure has involved following the Slalemenl of Recommended Practice for tharilies apptying FRS 102 rather than the version of the Statemenl of Recommended Practice which is referred lo in the Regulations but which has since been withdrawn. The financial slalements are prepared in sterling, which is Ihe functional currency of the charity. Monelary amounts in these financial slatemenls are rounded lo Ihe nearest £. Reslricled fund5 are 5ubjecl lo specific condilions by donors as to how they may be used. The purposes and uses of the reslricled funds arc sel out in the notes to the finanual statements. 1.4 Income Income is recognised when the charily is legally entilled lo il aftei any performance conditions have been met, the amounts can be measured reliably, and it is probable Ihat income will be received. Cash donations are recognised on receipt. Other donations are recognised once Ihe charity has been nolified of the donation. unless performance conditions require deferral of the amount.
