Section C Objectives and activities
| Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit) |
The purpose of the charity is to provide a link between parents and the school by organising appropriate activities. The charity’s objectives are to advance the education of the pupils in the school, in particular by: Developing effective relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school; and Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils. |
|---|---|
| Our activities typically include the hosting of various fundraising events in order to raise funds to support these objectives. These events include staff, parents and pupils. Whilst we were able to host events this year our activities continued to be adversely affected by the ongoing impact of COVID-19 and related restrictions in force. We provide funds for a range of equipment to the school for the use and education of its pupils. This equipment, which would otherwise not be available and is considered to be “luxury” to the normal school expenditure, benefits the pupils and will continue to provide benefits in the coming years. In planning our activities for the year we kept in mind the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit at our trustee meetings |
