Kondanani UK aims to ensure that our
activities positively affect society as a
whole. Our CSR policy aims to
guarantee that we work ethically,
considering human rights as well as the
social, economic and environmental
impacts of what we do as an
organisation. Specifically, KCV Malawi
has an ongoing commitment to use

Para 1.38
Having raised £7,500 towards the
Exeter Kindness mural the trustees
gave the go ahead for the Exeter
Kindness Mural. This project was led by
Al Gibson and Tim Davies with
volunteers Paul Colsell, Betty Colsell,
Gwenllian Riall and others.
We employed professional scaffolder,
renderer and painter to refurbish the
wall of the Crossline Building which was
completed in December 2023. In
January 2024 Paul Colsell painted a
Charley Mackesy illustration onto the
end gable of the building, over a two
week period. With the message. "What
do you want to be when you grow up?"
" 'Kind' said the Boy".
The scaffolding came down on 19
January 2024 delighting passers by.
This was featured on ITV News and in
other local media giving us an
opportunity to raise the profile of
Kondanani UK significantly.
This was all documented on the
exeterkindness.co.uk website and
Kondanani UK and Exeter Kindness
project social platforms. From the
proceeds we were able to donate £500
to the local soup kitchen, £500 to a
pregnancy centre in the building and
£500 to the orphanage in Malawi.
In February Paul returned to the area to
cover up the graffiti on some
neighboring walls as an act of kindness.
Throughout 2024 Kondanani UK was

able to promote the work of support for the homeless in Exeter through this project as well as the work of the orphanage in Malawi. In May Paul was invited by the Princess Hay shopping centre to create a chalk mural for their 'Let's Chalk about Mental Health' campaign. He also completed a similar Charley Mackesy illustration on a wall at St Peter's School. Other
