Activities and achievements:
Well, another year gone, and the community centre is almost back to normal in terms of its regular users. Parties were also booked as soon as regulations allowed, and we continued to get government support for the running of the building.
Whilst some of our usual activities were still not possible to undertake we did manage to hold our Christmas Event, albeit in a different format to the norm. Instead of the children all coming to the hall we sent the Entertainer and Christmas gifts to each of the participating schools. We had generous grants from The Barrels Drinking Team and from the Beryl & John Trust in support of this event.
Sadly, Ron and Mo Morgan have moved away (although not far) and no longer wish to be on the committee, and this leaves the remainder of us running the hall on an ‘emergency’ footing, so if anyone knows of anyone who would like to join the committee please come forward.

Treasurer’s Report By Des Parish
Once again, we have held our party room hire rate at £10.00 per hour, and our regular bookings rate at £9.00 per hour this year. As ever, we are extremely grateful to our supporters, The Beryl & John Trust, The Barrels Drinking Team and the help we had from Belmont Rural Parish Council, we wish to thank you all for your generosity.
It was another difficult year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. At the start of the year, January, February and March we were still in Lockdown and the hall remained closed. On 12[th] April Government announced that Community Centers were permitted to re-open but only for Educational purposes which meant our regular hirers were unable to return. On 6[th] May we opened our doors for the first time as the hall was used as a Polling Station for the Police & Crime Commissioner Elections delayed from 2020. From 10[th] May indoor events could take place but no parties were permitted. Unfortunately only three hirers returned. On 19[th] July all restrictions were lifted but sadly many of our regular hirers did not return as they still felt apprehensive about attending indoor activities. This meant we continued to suffer loss of revenue. However we were fortunate to welcome back the Dolloway Dancers.
We were fortunate to qualify for Covid-19 grants offered by Herefordshire Council and received a number of payments as listed in our accounts. This was a tremendous help as we were committed to regular expenses and maintenance expenditure plus additional expenditure to comply with Covid-19 regulations.
We were also most grateful to receive a donation from The Barrels and a grant from The Beryl & John Trust which enabled us to carry on the tradition of hosting the Children’s Christmas Magic Show. Our Income during 2021 was £26,696 mainly generated from grants received in relation to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Our Expenditure during 2021 was £7,092 was mainly reoccurring and general maintenance expenses. We also have £7,048 in the Deposit Account for any improvements and maintenance of the building.
This report was prepared on Friday, 9[th] July for presentation at the next Annual General Meeting
