Activities

Weston Park was the first municipal park in Sheffield and is one of the most significant historic parks and is very popular with local residents and visitors to the city. Heritage Lottery has enabled the full restoration of the park to take place. There is an active friends of group who work closely with Parks and Countryside Officers to monitor and improve the site.

Objects: 1. To Promote For The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of Sheffield And The Surrounding Area The Provision Of Facilities For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation Of Individuals Who Have Need Of Such Facilities By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disablement, Financial Hardship Or Social And Economic Circumstances Or For The Public At Large In The Interests Of Social Welfare And With The Object Of Improving The Condition Of Life Of The Said Inhabitants;2. To Advance The Education Of The Public, To Promote And To Advance Education In The Arts, In Particular, By The Establishment And Maintenance Of A Museum And Art Gallery.
