Activities
Promotion of the well being of the community by education and other beneficial means association with local authorities, voluntary organisations and residents to foster community spirit. Management of the community centre and provision of amenities for meeting.
Objects: 1. To Promote The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of Pontefract And Surrounding Areas (hereinafter Called The 'area Of Benefit') Without Distinction Of Sex Or Of Political, Religious Or Other Opinions, By Associating Together The Local Authorities, Voluntary Organisations And Inhabitants In A Common Effort To Advance Informal Education And To Provide Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation And Leisure-Time Occupation With The Objective Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For The Said Inhabitants; And2. To Establish, Or Secure The Establishment Of, A Community Centre (hereinafter Called 'the Centre') And To Maintain And Manage Or To Co-Operate With Any Local Statutory Authority In The Maintenance And Management Of Such A Centre, For Activities Promoted By The Organisation And Its Constituent Bodies In Furtherance Of These Objectives.
