| In planning our activities for the year we kept in mind the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit at our trustee meetings. The main activities are as follows: • a programme of youth orientated events and activities • a range of outdoor activities • a summer camp in the Lake District These activities benefit young people by developing their self-confidence and social, practical and life skills and providing opportunities for young people to become volunteers themselves. Activities are largely outdoors and are aimed at providing everyday adventure. We welcome all young people, aged between 6 and 18, regardless of personal background, faith, gender or personal circumstances |

Section D Achievements and performance
All of our sections have run an exciting programme of activities for the Summary of the main young people. The highlight of the year was a week long expedition to achievements of the charity the Lake District for the Scout and Explorer sections. Over 30 people during the year took part and all had a fantastic experience. Some of our members were also selected to attend the World Scout Jamboree in South Korea this summer. Our membership remains strong with a waiting list for all sections. We continue to recruit more volunteer leaders. Leaders have continued to develop their skills with a range of training courses undertaken including hill walking, canoeing and kayaking.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/03/2024 .

Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or

the accounts do not accord with the accounting records
