The main activities are as follows:

a programme of youth orientated events and activities

a range of outdoor activities
•
a summer camp in the Lake District
These activities benefit young people by developing their self-confidence
and social, practical and life skills and providing opportunities for young
people to become volunteers themselves. Activities are largely outdoors
and are aimed at providing everyday adventure. We welcome all young
people, aged between 6 and 18, regardless of personal background,

The highlight of the year was a week long expedition to **achievements of the charity** the Lake District for the Scout and Explorer sections. Over 30 people **during the year** took part and all had a fantastic experience. Some of our members were also selected to attend the World Scout Jamboree in South Korea this summer. Our membership remains strong with a waiting list for all sections. We continue to recruit more volunteer leaders. Leaders have continued to develop their skills with a range of training courses undertaken including hill walking, canoeing and kayaking.
