The Trustees have taken due regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit.

The Trust provides funds and assists in carrying out projects within the local community to improve facilities available to the general public. The Trust provides funds and assists in carrying out projects with teenager and school organisations.

The Trust provides funds for many local organisations to carry out specific tasks or to provide specific equipment.

The Trust provides funds in response to national and international disasters and emergencies.

The Trust provides funds for various international projects supporting education, the sick and needy.

The Trust organises events that provide funds for the charitable purposes described above.

The Trust organises events that provide funds for the charitable purposes described above and in addition facilitate local and national charities and organisations to raise funds through the events.

The Trustees receive recommendations as to the activities to be supported with grants from committees within the Rotary Club. The main committees are ‘Community and Vocation’, ‘International and Foundation (The Rotary Charity)’, and ‘Youth Service’.

Section D Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

The funds dispersed by the Trust are provided by donations by individuals and organisations or by the profit from events organised by the Trust.

During the year, the Trust made arrangements and expended funds on organising four main fundraising events; a Carol Concert, an Art Exhibition, a Choral Festival and the Wirral Coastal Walk.

The Carol Concert was organised in conjunction with the Castle Singers. The profits provided funds to the Trust to support local and international charities and good causes.

The Art Exhibition gave local artists of all standards an opportunity to showcase and sell their paintings. The profits provided funds to the Trust to support local and international charities and good causes.

Examples of the international support were; ‘Polioplus’, a Rotary Charity for the eradication of Polio worldwide;’; ‘Aarti Home’, a sanctuary for abandoned children in South India; the purchase of mosquito nets in Cambodia; ‘Eyes for East Africa’, an eye hospital in Kenya; ‘Shelterbox’ a UK Charity, supply equipment to disaster areas; ‘Aqua box’ a UK charity supplying water supply equipment where needed.

Examples of the local support were; Mersey Park School, Salvation Army, Radio City ‘Cash for Kids’, Wirral Food Bank, Claire House Hospice, The Hive, the ‘Leapfrog’ Project, Heswall Youth Fellowship, ‘Stick‘n’Step and Wirral Camp.

Members of the Rotary Club were also involved with various projects within the community. Examples were bulb planting in a number of locations and a technology tournament for schoolchildren.

The Trust maintains limited reserves. Each year the Trust budgets to spend the majority of the funds available at the start of the year. In addition, profits from various events throughout the year will be distributed. A positive cash flow is maintained at all times. The Trust makes no commitments for greater than a year.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended DD / MM / YYYY .

Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have examiner's statement come to my attention (other than that disclosed below *) in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
