Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ("the Act"). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. I have completed my examination. Structure, Governance and Management

The Sherrardswood School PTA is a registered charity run by volunteer trustees who are elected annually at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The committee manages the charity’s activities and finances in line with the charity’s constitution and charitable objectives.

The PTA works closely with the school to support educational activities and improve facilities for pupils through fundraising and community events.

Objectives and Activities

To advance the education of the pupils in the school; in particular by

  1. Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents & others associated with the school and

  2. Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.

Achievements and Performance

During the year the PTA successfully organised several fundraising events, including:

Our main sources of fundraising income are the annual Family Fun Day and Fireworks events, and refreshments sold at various events throughout the year. Other income is raised from parent donations and our second-hand uniform shop.
