I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charity ("the Trust") for the year ended 3110812025.
Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation
basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act
2011 ("the Act").
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have
come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me
cause to believe that in, any material respect:
accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of
the Act or
the accounts do not accord with the accounting records

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection
with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a
proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

## **Structure, Governance and Management** 

The Sherrardswood School PTA is a registered charity run by volunteer trustees who are elected annually at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The committee manages the charity’s activities and finances in line with the charity’s constitution and charitable objectives. 

The PTA works closely with the school to support educational activities and improve facilities for pupils through fundraising and community events. 

## **Objectives and Activities** 

To advance the education of the pupils in the school; in particular by 

1. Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents & others associated with the school and 

2. Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils. 

## **Achievements and Performance** 

During the year the PTA successfully organised several fundraising events, including: 

   - Family Fun Day 

   - Fireworks Night 

   - Mother’s/Father’s Day Sales 

   - Refreshments at Sports Day and other school events 

- Funds raised during the year were used to support the school through: 

   - New Outdoor Gym 

   - Providing electrics to the Top Field 

   - Drama Studio Lighting and Seating for performances 

   - Tablets for Prep School students 

The trustees would like to thank all volunteers, parents, staff and local businesses who supported the PTA throughout the year. 



## **Financial Review** 

The PTA remains in a stable financial position with total funds of £35,027 held at the year end. 

The accounts for the year ended 31[st] August 2025 have been prepared on a Receipts and Payments basis

Our main sources of fundraising income are the annual Family Fun Day and Fireworks events, and refreshments sold at various events throughout the year.  Other income is raised from parent donations and our second-hand uniform shop.

## **Reserves Policy** 

The PTA aims to maintain a reserve balance sufficient to cover essential running costs and planned commitments. Trustees review reserves regularly to ensure funds are used effectively while maintaining financial stability. 



**Plans for Future Periods** 

Planned activities for the coming year include: 

- Continuing with existing fundraising events 

- Supporting development of outdoor play with new trim trail for the Prep School 

- Updating facilities in the Food Tech rooms 

- Increasing volunteer involvement within the PTA 

## **Trustee Responsibilities Statement** 

The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees’ Annual Report and financial statements in accordance with applicable law and charity regulations. 

The trustees confirm that: 

- The accounts have been prepared on an appropriate basis. 

- Proper accounting records have been kept. 

- Funds have been used solely for the charity’s purposes. 

The trustees declare that they have approved the trustees’ report above.
