Notes to the accounts:

Note 1. Subscriptions were down as only bank standing orders were received.

Note 2. Mr Michael Hinman left a bequest of £61,690.42 to the Friends.

Note 3. Gift Aid for 2 years from 06.04.2018 to 05.04.2020.

Note 4. NSI reduced their interest rate to 0.01% at the beginning of 2021.

Note 5. No meetings were held in the Museum due to government covid measures.

During the year the Friends purchased a George lll presentation tankard and cover, awarded by the Rutland Agricultural Society in 1868 to CJ Bradshaw for £1860, and a silver Rutland Agricultural Medal for £868.

The Friends contributed £1,000 towards the Thomas Bloor ‘History of Rutland’ manuscript dated 1811 and also to the repair of the Game Larder plinth at a cost of £1,176 including the contribution of £300 from the Rutland Trust.

The donations to the Museum and Castle were down £3,488 on the previous year, due to government Covid lockdown measures.

There was a surplus of £61,645.34 for the year. The bank account now stands at £136,803.78.
