As stated in previous year5 we are unable to ¢xt¢nd ow facilities hjnher due to the stru¢ttJral siz¢ of th¢ premises. However we continue Striving ￿ Tna2lltain a COTnfonable. clean aod wel¢otning Centre for our ¢li¢nts. All staff h¥ received appropriate trairling in all 35pects of their jobs and further training is plaulled. Ase C￿¢¢M Sandwich Centre for the Retired runs two Charity Shop5 in Sandwich which are vital in financially SUPPOtttng the Day Cenlre. The Charity Shops in Market Street and Cattle Market continue to make a great ontribution to the Ccntre's finan¢¢s although th¢y both were closed during the pandemic. Both the Day Centre and Chanty Shops continue to rely heavily on the invaluable help given by our volunteers who work tirelessly for our ¢ause_ These volunteers a￿ overs¢en by the Day C¢ntr¢ Chief OffJ¢ers and H¢ad of Retail who have day to day resp)ttsibility for all m4tM fflabrtg to the Centre and Charity Shops. None of our volunteers are expected to lift. bath or toilei any clients due lo the fact that the tnajority are eldcrly people themselves. They do however work in our HairdreSSiD8 Salor4 tht Main Centre, thc Tea Bar. Mea15 Oll Wheels, Bethending and Charity Shops.
