As an immediate measure to firther reduce the deficiL the Nominated Person has received appropriate training to support and appty for additionat funding for children with special needs, securin£ the financing for them without the need to employ another professional. As part of the Curiosity Approach Pedagogy, we use naturaI reSoUr￿S to help cbildren become more independent and use their imagination rather than toys meant for one purpose (e.8. a toilet roll could be many things T3ther than a plastic w toy). Since introducintr Open Days during the surnrner 8nd strengthening our partoersbips with community organisations, we have been better able to identify children who may require additional health support and to guide f2mllies on how to acce55 appTOPTiate services. This collaborative approach has also enabled us to promote thc importance of good OTal hygiene (a part of our CU￿]culum) among young children. We have received donations to supp)rt both the setting and parents in addressin8 ongoing challenges in their daily health and well-being.
