| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | Over the years we have supported the Sea cadets and purchased a lifeboat. This not only assisted in their training but also played a significant role in helping with the regatta. Many of our grants enable organisations to purchase items that they cannot afford and this applies especially to schools. Examples this year included equipment for making music and in the case of Ilfracombe allowed for supervision for pupils for time after school. We have also supported the arts by making it possible for youngsters to gain experience on the stage, and enabled lifesaving skills to be furthered at several locations such as Woolacombe. |
