**Sea cadets and purchased a lifeboat. This**
**not only assisted in their training but also**
**played a significant role in helping with**
**the regatta. Many of our grants enable**
**organisations to purchase items that they**
**cannot afford and this applies especially**
**to schools. Examples this year included**
**equipment for making music and in the**
**case of Ilfracombe allowed for**
**supervision for pupils for time after**
**school. We have also supported the arts**
**by making it possible for youngsters to**
**gain experience on the stage, and**
**enabled lifesaving skills to be furthered**
**at several locations such as**
**Woolacombe.**|
