Our 4 Responders live locally in the community. Our “patch” includes the local Staffordshire and Derbyshire communities of Ashbourne, Cheadle, Waterhouses to Leek, Ashbourne, Alstonfield, Clifton to Uttoxeter.
In the last two years 2022 and 2023 we were active for 2,300 hours over each 12 months, equivalent to 41, seven day weeks. We respond to typically over 100 calls all Category 1 or Category 2 per annum. Cat. 1 is an immediate threat to life, Cat. 2 is an emergency for a potentially serious condition, such as a heart attack, stroke or serious burns.
We also carry out formal and informal training in CPR to local schools and to adults where opportunities resent themselves such as fetes.
