Achievements and Performance
As the restrictions of pandemic were lifted, it allowed School Association members (“SA”) to go back to doing what they do best and putting on events, the first of which was Christmas Fair, attendance was at an all-time high and with Fund Matching, we raised over £7,000 at this event.
It’s also been great to be able to host the other events like Bingo Night and Quiz Night which help the families of the school to come together in a social way. It was also fantastic to be able to do the school Disco Nights for both the juniors and infants, and it was great to see them all having so much fun.
Financial Review
Income during the year under review was £29,490 an increase of approximately £13,380 as compared to the previous year, due to the restrictions of pandemic were lifted, it allowed team SA to go back to doing what they do best and putting on events.
Expenditure decreased in total by £19,320 to £10,660, due to the donation of £16,000 was made in previous year.
This produced a surplus for the year of £18,830 compared to the previous year's deficit of £3,210, increasing our net resources to £29,880.
Future plans
We intend to continue and develop fantastic activities that team SA provides for the benefit of the our children and families.

Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of St Teresa’s School PTA
I report on the Statement of Financial Activities for the year ended 31st August 2022 and the Statement of Assets and Liabilities at that date together with the notes thereto set out on page 4. I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I have examined the accounting records from which the Statements have been prepared and I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
-
the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or
-
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
-
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
