Section D Achievements and performance Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year We have also taken in abandoned or neglect cases and wherever possible have re-homed. Those. who for whatever reason, are not suitable for rehoming remain at our sanctuary for the rest of their lives. Some of our rescues may be very elderly or have an underlying health issue which excludes them from consideration for adoption. We do however occasionally allow these animals to go on long term foster (often to an elderly person who wants companionship but cannot take on the responsibilities of vet bills). We cover all vet bills for the duration of the foster.

We were chosen as the partner charity with our local Pets at Home store. This enabled to go into store to meet the public and also to raise funds. We have also received a grant from the Pets Foundation to help with veterinary costs We were also delighted to be selected as one of the two charitles nominated by the Mayor of Barry during her temi of office. It was an honour. and also brought much needed funds to our charity.
