Summary of the main
achievements of the charity
during the year
We have also taken in abandoned or neglect cases and wherever
possible have re-homed. Those. who for whatever reason, are not
suitable for rehoming remain at our sanctuary for the rest of their lives.
Some of our rescues may be very elderly or have an underlying health
issue which excludes them from consideration for adoption. We do
however occasionally allow these animals to go on long term foster (often
to an elderly person who wants companionship but cannot take on the
responsibilities of vet bills). We cover all vet bills for the duration of the
foster.

Our main source of income is from our charity shop.
We were chosen as the partner charity with our local Pets at Home
store. This enabled to go into store to meet the public and also to
raise funds. We have also received a grant from the Pets
Foundation to help with veterinary costs
We were also delighted to be selected as one of the two charitles
nominated by the Mayor of Barry during her temi of office. It was an
honour. and also brought much needed funds to our charity.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charty ('the Trusf) for the year ended 3110312025
Responsibllties and
basis of report
As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the
Acf).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Chanty Commission
under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent rrhe charity's gross income exceeded £250,000 and l arn qualified to
examiner's statement undertake the examination by being a qualified member of [insert name of

I have completed my examination. I confinn that no material matters have
come to my attention in connection with the examination (other than that
disclosed below ') which gives me cause to believe that in, any material
respect:
the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130

the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements
conceming the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities
