Para 1.20 | During the year the charity raised £47,451 in donations. This enabled the charity to provide kosher food and wine for the Jewish New Year and at Passover, where otherwise the availability is difficult to obtain and expensive. The charity arranged for vital works to be carried out in the soup shelter in Korosten Ukraine. The charity provided educational material for children. In this way, the charity has benefited the community of Vilednik in helping them to maintain and follow their Jewish faith and traditions as well as provide some relief from poverty. The charity has also provided help and support to several Jewish families from Ukraine who have sought refuge amongst the local Jewish community in North London. |
