The Trust joined in relief work with the Parish Council but after the pandemic reded and lrfe got back to normal the cost- of- living crisis indicated an on-going need in the village and this small food bank continued to help assist people with difficulties. The offer to users needed to be amended because of experience over the 2 years of Covid. It was open to all. without assessment. like other similar larders locally and a memtErship scheme was started lo help with administratKin.Our records indicate that our users were local with a wid8 spread of ages and a large proportion of wort(ing families. An improved supply line wrth Fareshare helped with supply and we continued to collect from supennarkets such as M&S and Lidl and also ALDI later on in 2022. Some extra provisKin was made for Childn'S needs using some small specffic grants.
The Trust oblained a grant Of£ trn the Ccynwall Community Foundati to ass with the wrthase of some fcKKI sto(s to maintain supply. Most of this was spent by the end of the year. Close liaisrm is maÈntained wifh the dubs that the fa(xlty. St Ern FoottMII Club 1xtinued to play rwilarly and other kx31 dths such as Truro Youth FC and Truro GrasshoppeF5 have played here. The regular users of the Centre, many of whom are from the NHS and other health organi&qtions have stayed loyal and we are grateful for this. Fund raising was higher than last year with total rgxipts of £9545 hel by a successful Bonfire Nigm at £2919 that was pKthbly down to the gKM)d reputation of the display and the demise of other neaty events.
