LOCAL PEOPLE VISIT THE VINE ON A REGULAR BASIS THROUGHOUT THE DAY, AS MANY ARE ALONE & THIS IS THE ONLY OTHER HUMAN CONTACT IN THEIR DAY. THEY ENJOY OUR NUTRICIOUS, BUDGET MEALS. LOCAL HISTORY TALKS WERE ENJOYED AT OUR AGM & GENERAL MTG. TO HELP PEOPLE BECOME MORE EMPLOYABLE, FIRST AID COURSES, FOOD SAFETY IN CATERING COURSES, CV WRITING & INTERVIEW SKILLS & HEALTH & SAFETY HAVE BEEN ORGANISED.
Objects: The Objects Of The Association Are To Promote The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of Howdon, North Tyneside And Surrounding Areas, Without Distinction Of Age, Sex, Political Or Other Opinions, By Associating Statutory Authorities, Voluntary Commercial Organisations And Residents In A Common Effort To Advance Education And To Improve Facilities, In The Interests Of Social Welfare, For Recreation And Leisure Time Occupation With The Object Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For The Said Inhabitants.
