To advance education and knowledge by supporting centres of teaching of art and by providing financial assistance to students, and provision of scholarships and bursaries.

To Promote, Maintain, Improve And Advance The Education Of The Public In The Appreciation Of 19Th Century English Arts And Artefacts In Particular But Without Prejudice To The Generality Of The Foregoing By The Provision Of Works Of Art For Public Display, Lectures, Workshops And Exhibitions.2. To Undertake Research For The Public Benefit Into All Aspects Of 19Th Century Art And Artefacts And To Disseminate The Useful Results Of Such Research.3. To Advance Education By The Establishment And Support Of Centres Of Teaching Of Art In Particular By The Provision Of Financial Support To Students And The Establishment Of Scholarships And Bursaries.
