Trustees are appointed or reappointed annually at the AGM held in October. Nominations for election to the committee may be made by any member of Friends and seconded by another. Such norninations must have consent of the nominee. Objertives of the charlty The objective of the charity is to advance the education of pupils in the School, in particular bv: l) Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the School. 21 Engaging in activities or providing faciltties or equipment which support the School and advance the education of the pupils.

Artivltles Friends hold a range of fundraising activities throughout the year in order to meet the above objectives. These iftclude the Longwick Art Show, Christmas Fayre, cake and doughnut sales. discos and the selling of second hand uniform. Athlevements and Performance The level of fundraising for the School has again been wonderful to see. The total raised over the yeartopped £15k, with the Art Show accounting for £llk of this-a record amount. The Christmas Fayre is always a popular event and itself raised just over £2k. Members of Friends a150 got involved in various food and uniform sales, a well-attended Quiz and several other fundraising activities. We massively appreciate the support of all the volunteers throughout the year. giving UP their time to help whether they are direttly part of Friends or not, and also all those that financially contributed to our fundraisin8 endeavours. We couldn't have had such a successful year without all those involved. This year, the funds raised have gone towards educational resources such as maths workbooks and computing programmes, the painting of new game markings on the playground and installation of a pennanent table tennis table. Friends also arranged for the children to enjoy a planetarium experience, for Christmas crackers to be distributed across the school during the school Christmas meal and for various other prizeslrewards throughout the year. In addition. Friends funded a new permanent hanging system across the school to improve the ease and efficiency by which the school can be transformed into an Art Exhibition venue and back again, thereby looking to enhance the future raising of funds through such events.
